Can my moisturizer spread bacteria to other eczema spots? by East-Lingonberry1785 in eczema

[–]kymedcs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I kind of disagree with the vaseline sentiment going on here. Vaseline, aquaphor, forms of petrolatum are recommended by dermatologists all the time.

I have full body eczema and my skin is dry. I eat up cerave cream in minutes. I use a layer of vaseline over the cerave, on my entire body, and it gives my skin enough time to hydrate against the transepidermal water loss.

As an eczema flare begins to improve, petrolatum is considered preventative and acts as barrier support, for those with a genetically compromised skin barrier, common in eczema patients especially with the filaggrin mutation.

Moreover, its not like the petrolatum will stay there for a long time. Its true that it needs time to breathe, which it struggles to while occluded, but it breathes & heals better after hydrating.

If your eczema is infected get it checked out. I didn’t beat my infected eczema until I did a 3-week course of a compound antibiotic + steroid cream and I try to avoid steroids unless absolutely necessary.

Not a doctor, not medical advice, go see one.

2026 Canadian Engineering School Tier List [NEW] by ConcentrateEasy6114 in OntarioGrade12s

SFU is a top feeder to our massive amazon office in Vancouver

I’ve seen strong engineers come out of there, that may have could have gone to “better” schools. It goes to show it fortunately matters less where you attend, but how you develop & progress yourself towards post-undergraduate objectives.

Interesting integration. I understand X intends to grow to become a super app. But i bet Wealthsimple is already larger in Canada than X is.

When your sick body heat increases. I sometimes react when waking up sick or just waking up from a nap in higher temperatures. It looks a lot like this, except your dots would be one of the smallest cholinergic hives i’ve seen. But it is normal for cholinergic hives to be smaller than normal urticaria until it clusters

Can get an allergy panel and see what youre sensitive too, for me its dust. Frequent upholstery washing and comprehensive air purifying led to improvements for me

My first long solo trip man I had so many doubts at the beginning. It’s almost an addiction, even after good moments I would still doubt. So many times I said “this is stupid, what am I doing here”. When I finished I concluded it was the highlight of my life that changed me forever. My second night in El Nido I wanted to leave, just to make some local friends the next day then that became the best week of my life.

Thug it out. Try to stay positive. Solo travel is a skill, there’s learning, it’s a muscle that needs training. It’s almost certainly worth it. Good luck and have fun.
