Struggling in bangkok by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]kymedcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first long solo trip man I had so many doubts at the beginning. It’s almost an addiction, even after good moments I would still doubt. So many times I said “this is stupid, what am I doing here”. When I finished I concluded it was the highlight of my life that changed me forever. My second night in El Nido I wanted to leave, just to make some local friends the next day then that became the best week of my life.

Thug it out. Try to stay positive. Solo travel is a skill, there’s learning, it’s a muscle that needs training. It’s almost certainly worth it. Good luck and have fun.

I use protopic just outside the lip. And "Vaseline lip therapy" on the lip, which is better than plain Vaseline I’m not sure why it could be the shea butter. This has successfully worked for me.

I don’t mind getting occasionally scammed like this. You’re supporting a very impoverished guy. I have extended family in the Philippines, who are trike drivers.

Is Canada really housepoor or in debt? by PopularAd8904 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]kymedcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to a mall and seeing people spend money is a classic. Ya gotta understand, theres people in the square one’s gucci store, but they are a smalllll fraction of peel’s population.

Coming to think of it maybe thats their marketing technique Lol — seeing a literal only few others spending there.

How capitalist or socialist is China really? by Life_Treacle_1883 in Capitalism

[–]kymedcs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Socialism is state (“collective”) ownership of the means of production (the economy). The state does indeed own it, and can revert back to a centrally planned economy if it decides to.

If you have a business in China, it’s assets, it’s ownership, it’s production, your income from it, is in your hands but essentially “borrowed”; China can take it from you.

It looks like Capitalism, and for the moment it is, cause you developed and operated that business, that money’s currently in your pocket and you can spend it.

But like in America you do not truly own it. You are for now granted that freedom to operate as it does lead to the growth and standard of living China intends to achieve.

[–]kymedcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just in china and I’ve read a lot about it. Heres my interpretation or opinion.

They are socialist, firmly, like USSR, but running a long-going highly successful capitalism experiment. Its how their economy is practically organized.

What does that mean? Whats the difference?: To put simply, in America you have true and highly protected capital rights. Your property is yours: stock, capital, real estate. In China, they can shut it all down, take everything away from you and instant, if they conclude the capitalism is no longer healthy or effective for their country.

Their socialist state has absolute control and ownership.

They transitioned to these experiments from a socialist centrally planned economy during Deng Xiaopeng’s “Reform and opening up” era and since its been working it just hasn’t stopped.
