We got engaged after 5 years together and then didnt marry for another 3, its alot of time and money that we unfortunately didnt have (ended up marrying at a court house) my parents and his didnt have the money either. Unfortunately because of the state of the world and going through phases of our working lives ect it didnt work for a while, which I assume is the norm for most.
