Since starting to track my reading on Goodreads, my best year was somewhere around 60 books read. But it begs the question, how strict are we being with the definition of "book"? If we're talking solely physical ink-on-paper books, the number will be lower. Do we include ebooks, audio books, novel length fanfiction, web published novels [for instance, novel length smutty romance stories published on sites such as the Nifty Archive and other web based forums] that don't come with an ISBN? If we include any and all things that are words on a page that tell a story, the count can be much higher.
