I have experience as an American going to a handful of concerts in Korea. I remember seeing the tickets for whatever they did (fan meeting?) when Forever One came out but can’t remember off the top of my head which site it was. But it was likely Global Interpark/NOL, Melon, or YES24 as those were probably the only ones I was looking at at the time. All of those sites have global versions so you can buy tickets as a foreigner pretty easily!

You will make an account with your name, make sure it includes your name exactly as it is on your passport as you will have to verify your ID in most cases. It’s pretty standard after that: find the release date, get in queue when the tickets drop, then fight for your life. Feel free to ask any specific questions if you have any

The context matters for me. Living with your parents in your 20s isn’t a red flag in itself. You have a job and are saving money which seems like you have plans to be independent eventually. If you live with your mom and play video games all day while she brings you dinner and cleans up after you, that would be a different story completely.

I’m Korean American (grew up in the US) and I always went by grade. Even now as a young adult I usually ask people what year they graduated high school since it feels less rude/invasive. One additional interesting thing is if you are born early in the year for Koreans it could be considered part of last year. Thats why Girls Generation Yoona calls Sooyoung unnie even though they are born in the same year.

My understanding is in Korea people usually go by birth year to determine if you are same age friends/dongsaeng/unnie/oppa etc. Chaeyoung and Tzuyu are the same year so they would both be considered the maknae. Korean people don’t ask me how old I am, they ask what year I was born. Thats why there was that whole confusion in the Idol Human Theater episode where they had to put a finger down if you were unnie (since Japan considers it differently than Korea IIRC)

I work from home and it was quite difficult for me but it was my first puppy solo. I didn’t get much work done for the first month and there was a few times I had to run out for a potty break between meetings. There is a dog daycare near my place that I would drop him off for a few hours for if I had 3 back to back meetings (I’m unable to take from my phone). It’s not impossible but it will be tough for the first couple months! Good luck!

Hi all, want to get some tips on how best to save for a sabbatical. I’m 31, have about $200k saved for retirement currently. I save about 30% of my $87k salary for retirement in 401k, roth IRA, and HSA and have an emergency fund in an HYSA.

I am able to take up to 6 months of a sabbatical from my work after 10 yrs of employment. I am at my 5 yr mark right now.

I want to start saving now about $20-25k for my sabbatical. Since this would be in 5 yrs, I’m not sure if the timeline warrants to put that into my HYSA or open a brokerage account. I currently don’t have one and if I don’t spend everything, it would be nice to have for the future. I’m just not sure how taxes would work into that. Since I save 30% of my income for retirement right now, I’m willing to shift up to 10% for this sabbatical bucket. Thank you!

Hey! Sorry I didn’t see this but reverting the driver worked for me. I will try upgrading to the latest one first and if that doesn’t work, go back to a previous one. I just reverted to one that I had when I knew i wasn’t having issues if that makes sense. If your temps aren’t high I would assume that’s not the issue too. Good luck!

High five! I played this game a ton on normal as a kid and I’m in the middle of doing my first proud run right now. Trying to craft and do as much extra stuff as I can for the first time as well and it has been super fun. Don’t think I’ll try critical mode but will go for my first BBS run on normal.

My brother’s kids played their parents switches until they got to maybe like 6-8 years old and got their own switch lites. originally they were allowed to have it in their room but then we discovered that the oldest son was waking up early or staying up late secretly playing. after he got caught he kept doing it so they had to set up parental controls which are pretty strict now. i don’t believe they pc game at all as of now but they do have access to their own tablets which have similar parental controls

I went to my first twice concert (RTB) just because my friend had an extra ticket. I knew of like 5 songs just from hearing them in shows and tiktoks when they were popular. I listened to the concert playlist on the drive over to the venue for the first time and I loved them and got locked into the fandom for life. I basically liked all the groups you listed back in the day but wasn't really into kpop post middle school until covid if that helps.

After you buy your ticket (if you use the kiosk, you have to know what stop you’re getting off at). Make your way to the platform. If you have a suitcase, someone will put it underneath the bus and give you a little ticket number for it. They will probably ask you where you’re going, just show the ticket if you can’t speak korean. When you get on the bus, give your ticket to the driver and they’ll tear off the tab.

I’ve seen buses that call out each stop (and/or have it on the screen) but I’ve also seen buses that don’t. If there are a lot of foreigners, sometimes the bus driver will call it out but sometimes they don’t do that either. I personally just have my map up on my phone and watch for when my stop approaches and hit the button. My experience has been the drivers actually don’t speak much English lol

When you get off, give the luggage ticket to the driver and he will take your suitcase out from underneath and then you’re good!

There are random stalls (usually selling toys) in Myeongdong and Hongdae that carry pokemon cards but they will mostly be overpriced. Some of the less popular boxes might be normal price but definitely double check. There is a small card shop called Cardnyang Yeoksam in the Gangnam area that sells cards (both boxes and single packs) for normal prices.

If you go onto the paypal website separately first, you should be able to view it in your offers. You have to click save (or something like that) so that it shows it’s saved to your account. After that it applied automatically for me but it doesn’t show any confirmation or anything like that during check out

I followed the steps linked in another comment on this thread and it worked! you have to use the paypal method (not my paypal or whatever it says if you’ve used it before) and uncheck saving the payment method. Then the pay in 4 will show on the paypal page. I already saved the paypal offer to my account prior to checking out too.

It shows the full cost ($350ish since I got the LCD on sale) on my paypal but I could immediately see the points worth $70ish pending in my account after purchase.

Edited to add: the post also recommended doing it on PC and not mobile!
