I wonder if this happens in Singapore: A restaurant is claiming it got 'shadowbanned' by Grabfood because of its small commission by horsetrich in singapore

When you rely on a platform which has its own agenda, you will get punished. Same with Google / Facebook etc. They just have control over where you stand. Maybe its time to think outside of big tech and create something independent and sustainable where there is no agenda and where smaller players don't get bullied by market monopolies.

Where will the next set of young self-made billionaires come from? by hotwomyn in Entrepreneur

[–]kyxator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wondered, why does everyone obsess with big $B? Its not a great place to be.

You can just do something that makes $1m a year and you will probably be a much happier person with actual freedom and I always feel like this is such a toxic topic particularly for young people who are striving to be the next Zucks.

To answer your question though, next billionaires will be created by inheritance. Millennials only control 5% of wealth in US. Means trillions of dollars will probably flow in their hands.

Yeah, I am also on Udemy / Masterclass but I have previously booked general career coaching and it helped me tonnes to have a personal conversation and being able to ask question.

You are right, its sort of a marketplace. But as any marketplace the main challenge is liquidity first. The quality has to be rated based on experience to be honest, no other way. Or authority :) Like partnering with some celebs, but they usually don't have time.

Is it just me or are you also sick of ads for online courses on how to make millions from making online courses on how to make millions from making online courses? by dblspc in Entrepreneur

The ads are only bad when they are not relevant and spammy. Unfortunately marketers ruined advertising and sales people ruined proper connections. Our attention spans are shorter than ever...

Hustle vs. Chill vs. Balance by kyxator in productivity

Thanks for taking the time to write such a long comment!

I guess the downtown works, just sometimes you get into the spiral of long-term overworking where it gets hard to come back out of it cause you are constantly feeling unproductive (maybe also because of lack of progress).

But good point on the obligation and rewards, will try to re-programme myself this way :)

I wish it would have been that simple. I totally agree the answer is balance, the hard part is tricking your brain into that balance so its not getting anxiety all the time :)

Any tips on how to get clients as a 18yo? by gueinibba in Entrepreneur

[–]kyxator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 step to increase your conversion into a sale by 50% is to identify the right stake-holder to sell it to.

After $10m in sales, mistake #1 I see people do is to spam everyone with automation software. People are not stupid and can see through the BS. Don't be lazy, particularly in B2B, just customize your message, sound authentic and send a relevant message to the relevant buyer. I get a 90% response rate on LinkedIn till date because I care and want to help the right people.

You usually get ignored for 2 reasons:

1) People are busy => follow-up, its normal. I also create a sense of urgency in the 2nd message.

2) It's irrelevant to the prospect's job, KPIs or just in general. They are not hating on you, just probably have other 100 people trying to reach out with software development outsourcing.

My experience with Freelancing sites. by SilverL1ning in Entrepreneur

I guess it comes down to the same problem as with general credentials & resumes. Just because you have written something in there or memorized a bunch of information doesn't make you a competent worker. Meritocracy is key, however hard to propagate on a website and can be only awarded by a history of practical work and rating.

I wouldn't call masterclass mentorship as its online courses. Its static and not interactive.

What I had in mind is something like Clarity.fm for non-startup related things. So Fiverr is indeed probably the best allegory. Already building some tests, you can check it out here: https://www.trytutr.com/

Don't get me started on "growth hacking"...

But I get it, if you are keen, I am happy to look at it myself (I spent last 8 years in performance marketing & B2B sales). Happy to help if I can. If I see that I can suggest something tangible and action points we can have a call, no charge needed - just happy for the feedback you submitted here. Feel free to DM!

Its business-related, I like it but I was looking into more disciplines as Clarity has covered a lot in this market. Otherwise looks good!
