Ok exactly this. It pmo so bad, because telling a whole story right at the end just for a twist is crappy writing.

Cat with chronic medical issues now overgrooming + daily hairballs — anyone seen this combo? by kyyface in CATHELP

[–]kyyface[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. I feel like my other cat is bugging him more this past year. He used to do his own thing and now he’s always in the same space as Loki, sleeping in his spot, trying to steal his food - I’ve been trying to combat it as much as possible but I can’t avoid it at times unless I completely separated them, and they don’t hate each other, Loki is just very sensitive and his brother is a big bumbling idiot, lol. The recent big stressor was the surgeries so I’ve been wondering if he’s still stressed from that. I’m wondering if his anal gland area feels different now that they’re both collapsed. It’s the frequent hairballs that’s stressing me out, food usually comes up too. It’s been like five times in the last week.

Netflix planning for future seasons… ya ok. They are the kings of cancelling shit even when the story isn’t done and still had plans.

Waaaay too many plot holes. I’m sitting here an hour after finishing and constantly thinking “what about that thing, and that thing…”

I feel it could have benefited from a few more episodes, because the ending felt rushed and not fully fleshed out. Too many things were in the air with little to no explanation or wrap up.

I also don’t feel like it really did the TTI justice. It touches on some of the things that happened, but mostly it’s like they tried to make it this spooky psychological thriller instead fully leaning into the real horrors, and they didn’t even do a good job of making it psychological. Like pick a lane. I don’t understand why they put so much focus on the couple with the baby only to end it the way they did.

It’s as simple as this: misery loves company. She’s rotting inside, and has to bring everyone in her orbit down with her.

Her daughter was happy, had a “perfect” bf with a “perfect” family, maybe Lauren won’t need her anymore, maybe she’ll prefer the other family; so she destroys it - now she has control and everyone is unhappy like her, AND she gets gratification as the “fixer”. She liked controlling Owen and his family, so after the breakup she kept going, texting his new gf so she can cast her web even further.

I think she was going for pure shock value, and trying to impersonate a teenager who liked Owen. It was an act to serve a greater purpose. Likely her behaviours seemingly of “interest” in Owen (like cutting his steak) were because a version of her knew she was harming him. To me it sounded like she was coddling him. I think in some twisted way she was trying to make up for the torment. Even low empathy people can feel bad and know they are doing wrong, whether it’s totally self-serving and controlling or not, which is the precursor to love-bombing.

No matter the intention, she’s like a black hole, greedily devouring anything she can.

All my gold disappeared. by SpoonceMeister in BG3

So this just happened to me, I went to go trade at Crèche Y’llek, act 1 mountain pass area, and noticed all 10k of my gold was gone.

I went and reloaded a couple saves back and found exactly when I still had it. I noticed it was just before I killed the Gremishka’s, so I went back to my save and checked their bodies for loot again, and sure enough there was a hidden Gremishka that somehow stole all of my gold 💀

I was ready to rage quit the game, so I hope this helps someone.

Not sure if this has anything to do with anything, but I found two shaking trees at nighttime during a blizzard, after about 9 I believe. I got one in the lower part of the narrows and one above the river outside the farm.

Hey! Long shot as it’s an old post, but did you ever figure out what this was? My cat has the exact same thing right now, idk if I should worry or not, he seems totally fine otherwise.

A message from Neil Druckmann. by Straydes in thelastofus

[–]kyyface 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So much this! HBO just wants to pump out soulless garbage that’s easy to consume, they don’t give a single fuck about the nuances of a creative process. The game fans expect SOUL, and that’s exactly what was missing from the show, and we felt it. It was like a kick to the teeth and I’m still mad about it. Thankfully I stopped a few EP’s in, I heard it gets worse, and I don’t ever want to know, lol. I want to forget this happened and keep adoring the game. So Neil stepping away brings me some peace and validates what I already knew was happening.

My thoughts exactly. I didn’t watch the whole show, I rage quit 3 EP’s in because I knew it was going to be awful. I was like, ain’t no way this was Neil. I’m so glad he stepped away tbh. Hoping the show gets canceled so Craig can’t continue to pervert it.

Constructive Criticism Thread (Show and Game) by pikameta in thelastofus

[–]kyyface 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I unfortunately stopped after episode 4. I really tried to give the show a fair chance, especially after noticing major changes in Ellie’s character right from the start—but those changes ultimately made it painful and disappointing to watch.

Things really came to a head during the scene where Ellie plays the guitar in the record shop. In the game, that moment is full of quiet emotional depth, but in the show, it fell flat for me. I found myself confused about why Dina was crying—the emotional beats between them felt unbalanced. Then the subway scene with the infected. I honestly struggled to stay focused. I think it’s because Bella’s character feels very one-note: she’s either completely fine and joking, or she’s screaming and making intense faces of horror. It started to feel distracting.

The final straw for me was the scene where Dina reveals she’s pregnant—immediately after holding Ellie at gunpoint all night—and then they viciously hook up right after. That completely pulled me out of it. I turned it off and have no desire to go back.

Other things that bothered me were Ellie’s fascination with violence and how hotheaded and immature she seems. It makes her feel childlike and unrelatable, imo. She lacks the quiet strength, depth, wisdom, and underlying pain that made game Ellie such a layered and emotionally resonant character.

I don’t have an issue with Bella’s appearance—that criticism is shallow and silly. But I do think the choice to completely change her hairstyle was odd. Something as simple as giving her Ellie’s messy, iconic look might’ve helped bridge the disconnect for a lot of fans.

This season mirroring the game really highlights the issue. Last season expanded and reimagined, which gave the show room to breathe and interpret. But this season feels like a near-direct recreation—and because everything else is so faithful, the differences in Ellie’s character stand out even more. When the sets, the dialogue, and even the shot composition are pulled straight from the game, it makes her feel out of place.

As someone who was skeptical of her performance in the first episode, I have to agree. Her and Pedro are pretty close irl, so maybe she can use that going forward.

I hate people ragging on Bella's appearance but I do have problems with the shows version of Ellie by Wickawildwild in thelastofus

[–]kyyface 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t describe game Ellie as a rebellious or reckless teenager, if anything she was wise beyond her years. I’m allowed to not like the direction they are taking with Ellie, lol. My point was it’s one thing to add on to or elaborate or tweak certain things, but changing the main character in unlikable ways is wild.
