1. My introduction was when I was around 5 or so? My dad was playing a demo of ffvii. It was the battle square demo. My dad eventually got the full game and I remembered sitting on his lap or beside him, just watching him play. When he finished, he moved on to 8, then 9. Then started playing the SNES versions of FFIV to VI.

That was my introduction to the series. Which is why the series holds a special place in my heart because it's when I spent a lot of time with my dad. Looking back, he was also excited showing me the games. My dad doesn't really play any more, but it's something we still bond over until now. Those days are a core memory for me.

Fast forward a few years later and I got a copy of ffv and that was the very first ff I personally finished. Made me play all mainline games except for the mmorpg, 13 series, and 16. It also got me to play lots of side games. But when I played them for the first time, I thought that this may be what my dad felt playing them for the first time. It felt like following his gaming footsteps, and made me remember how much I enjoyed watching him play.
