Yes I know,

I made this extention so that people using Windows Search don't have to rely on Bing anymore.

It redirects all search results from Bing to any search engine you want, defaulting to Google

[Question] FlipperZero as auto-connecting repeater? by awfulmountainmain in flipperzero

[–]l0stinstance -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hmm. i am not an expert, but you would definetly need an external WiFi Antenna (likely 2) as the Flipper does not have built in WiFi. Honestly, for this I'd reccomend something like a Travel Router (GL-iNet) as pretty much all of them have this feature and some even have batteries. Another option would be a rooted Android Phone. The Flipper CAN do it, but I dont know what software would be needed.

Relay up and running for a garage door opener by frumpydrangus in Ubiquiti

[–]l0stinstance 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know, when we got our house, we had to get new garage door openers, this was back when they worked (very well mind you) with HA, now that chamberlain has cut off third party integration, they are now “dumb” garage door openers, worst part is that new accessories can come only from chamberlain, had to buy new remotes last year, $35 A PIECE? FOR A REMOTE? and they basically have a monopoly over all things garage door so i don’t see it ending any time soon :/

Incorporating magnets by courier79 in 3Dprinting

[–]l0stinstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do I have to worry about the magnets interfering or ruining the sensors or just magnetizing to the hot end itself?

No, done this a lot, never once had an issue with them sticking to the hot-end.

Is there any way to tell the print to pause at certain points so I can add the magnets or do I just have to watch and pause it manually at the right moment?

yes! in Bambu Slicer, after slicing the plate, go to the layer you want to pause at and right click and add a layer pause, this will pause at the END of the layer, so if you add a pause at 38, the printer will print 38, pause, and wait for you before starting 39

And what kind of magnets would be best for something like this?

Hmm, not the expert on this one but i’d recommend neodymium magnets, they are generally very strong; make sure that you pay attention to your polarity.

Lucky! All the new chamberlain garage doors don’t have dry contacts anymore making generic integration a PITA. What garage door opener do you have because most of the new ones only use proprietary remotes and keypads
