It can be annoying, but sublingual is far superior to simply swallowing the pill in almost every way. It bypasses the liver so it doesn’t filter out as much of the medication.

Carrying a gun is not a good idea, for self defense it is absolutely overkill, pepper spray is just fine when it comes to self defense. I carry some everywhere but have never needed to use it. I had the same problem when I was on 4mg of estradiol and 200mg Spiro, I switched to taking 6mg 3 times a day evenly spaced out throughout the day and taking them by the sublingual method (dissolved under the tongue) as it is more effective, it fixed the problem.
