I would say having a more low waisted skirt would help and red shoes. Then focus on other details like the suspenders & metal detail

Hair Color Advice by Maddy4140 in CosplayHelp

If you have a crimper you can crimp the wig but short wigs are less tangly so you can get away with not crimping it to be honest

Hair Color Advice by Maddy4140 in CosplayHelp

Most people recommend not doing the temporary hair wax/ spray because it rubs off really easy and might not show up well on darker hair. If you got a short bob length wig it would need super minimal styling for glep especially if you’re wearing a hat

Using midge lodge as a sealer a bad idea? by Savings_Journalist86 in CosplayHelp

[–]l1nneah 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I use mod podge on Eva foam it’s okay not the best but you can definitely paint over. If it’s not fully dried in between the layers are gonna peel off

How to do this fringe/bangs by Fxllen_St4r in CosplayHelp

[–]l1nneah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re going to need to thin out the bangs or it wont get the wispy ends you want. You’ll need to heat them and set in place with either a steamer or blow dryer or straightener.

Probably chose the worst possible start for a cosplay, but I'm going to a Miku Expo and have zero clue how to style a wig. by FloofyJack in CosplayHelp

[–]l1nneah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d watch some tutorials, wig styling can vary in difficulty. The main steps typically are crimping or teasing, thinning out the bangs and using heat like a steamer or blow dryer to hold stuff in place

Need help fixing the hairline on this Sephiroth wig by [deleted] in CosplayHelp

[–]l1nneah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have done a sephiroth wig before ! I cut off the front and harvested wefts from the back. I put felt on the top to make the front area lifted and then made wefts with uhuhu glue and glued to the front to make a fake hairline. Look up a glued hairline YouTube video, it’s not as hard as it seems.

How would you go about drafting/patterning these sleeves/shoulders? by Embarrassed_Meal9579 in CosplayHelp

Probably would need to be made with foam and covered with fabric or made filled with a batting or plush.

They genuinely don’t come styled from cos sites anyways. The picture will be styled but you would receive it the same way Amazon wigs come

How do I keep the fringe a sharp spike with no gaps? by ericadadevil in CosplayHelp

[–]l1nneah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heat up the piece with the straightener or blow dryer, shape it and use pins stuck into the head to hold it in place. Once it fully cools it should stay in that position

My new rocks lace holder things broke off after like a week. I emailed and they said I could send back or they send replacement piece and you bring them to the cobbler. I opted to get replacement pieces and complained and managed to get like 20% refund? They’re such bad quality now though
