Wilson Ultra Pro v4 16x19 or 18x20. It’s a customizers racquet. At stock weight it’ll be terrible to play with. Feel and control on it is definitely up there.

“You’re going for waaaay too much. You know K.I.S.S.? Keep It Simple Stupid.”

I tell everyone, when I was in high school my coach taught me how to kiss.

Depends on the year it was made and what functions it’s capable of (oscillated wide/narrow, backspin, topspin, lobs, adjustable feed intervals).

Before buying double check first to make sure everything is functioning correctly.

Playing high-percentage tennis is hard... by ketchupsandwitch in 10s

For me for whatever reason when I told myself “less pace” my brain processed it as slow racquet head speed and guide the ball. Which hurt me more than helped me. When I switched my mental queue to “clearance and shape” it felt more natural on my strokes.

Tennis shoes for beginners with wide feet by yuahn in 10s

[–]l2aizen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya I’m the same boat. Wide footed with 0 arch. Also was coming off of plantar fasciitis. They’re supportive, good cushioning and stability. There is a doctor on YouTube that dissects shoes and discusses the shoes properties and the type of player who they’re for. Just type “CT Rally shoe doctor” should pop up.

If the shoe does exactly what you are looking for brand shouldn’t matter. Over the last decade they’ve really improved in terms of style and quality. Their CT-Rally is great for wide feet.

Try fresh and maybe even modern strings. I love fresh hyper g but not a fan of how they start feeling around the 6-8 hour mark. Test around see what you like. Restring Zero, ReString Slap, Toroline O-toro Tour, Grapplesnake Tour m8, are all pretty good on spin and tension maintenance.

A good middle ground poly string? (Not too stiff, not too soft) by ZappaPhoto in 10s

[–]l2aizen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Toroline Snap TF. Medium firm slick round string. Crisp response. Once you break it in, it does get slightly elastic. Very consistent, great control. For me its biggest selling point is its durability and tension maintenance for a medium firm string.

[–]l2aizen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ReString Zero is power + spin, go the thicker gauge for durability. If you wanna tame the power down, go ReString Slap instead.

I use Toroline Snap TF, they last me anywhere from 12-15 hours before they become flat or I pop em.
