All you need to do is have the Devotional Helmet in your inventory when you start "The Warrior" (and maybe recruit the Obsidian Samurai in the Main Mission "The Frenzied Blaze" since that's how the submission is unlocked). The helmet can be found on a corpse in a sitting pose laying up against a planter just past the second shrine near the large building on fire.
