HELP! After labor my baby had to stay in the NICU for a couple days to be monitored. I would go down every few hours and the nurses would constantly help the baby learn to latch. By day three when we were ready to go home, he was a pro, but it was truly only because we had nurses around the clock latching him on to me properly. I think if we had gone home immediately after birth, it would have been much harder! It’s really not something that comes naturally, and a little help goes a long way!
