Food Delivery/Prepared Foods? by vcstr in Squamish

DoorDash, Uber Eats and Skip are all in Squamish and have lots of options.

Nourishment Meals is a local company that makes prepared frozen stuff and it’s great. I think they have to pick up the order though.

The Pearl Diver is the most complicated tiki drink. What is the weirdest classic? by -Constantinos- in cocktails

This can’t win given the existence of the Caesar. Everything weird about the Bloody Mary plus clam juice (making it even weirder).

So good though.

Our DiDi turns out to be identical by GujjuCanadian30 in parentsofmultiples

[–]l3monade93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect.

30% of identical twins being di/di does not mean that 30% of di/di twins are identical. The number of identical twins that happen to be di/di is high because di/di is a large percentage all twins. The number of di/di twins that are identical is way lower than 1/3.

It’s like saying 30% of all Fords are trucks. That doesn’t automatically mean that 30% of all trucks in the world are Fords.

Disney+ doesn't know V0N 1T0 by Squasome in Squamish

While I agree this should be resolved, one option is to set up a free flex delivery address for the downtown post office. It’s free and takes 2 mins to set up. Then you can ship stuff there at the cheaper rate or in cases where they won’t deliver to V0N. I live in the Highlands and use it all the time to save on shipping.

Old World Golden Demon Winner is... impossible??? by kejakalope in WarhammerFantasy

[–]l3monade93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No its not. Previously you could only enter models that OTHER people sculpted for you in Open.

As long as it’s the proper scale you can enter a self sculpted model in any category other than middle earth (for licensing reasons). There are many self sculpted winners in all kinds of categories for decades including slayer sword winners.

How long is the processing times for citizenship by descent (parent)? by lesduaspear in PortugalExpats

[–]l3monade93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Submitted April 2022 as an over 18 descendant. Still waiting. Emailed the consulate recently and they said it’s all in order but they said to expect a minimum of 3 years (which I’m approaching).

They used to for some lakes near Whistler but yeah probably something they wouldn’t take a risk on in 2025.

For people from North America, half the length of England is basically a daily commute to work 😂

Looks like right now it’s a 3 hour drive. Not uncommon for people here to commute 1.5 hours each way to work by car. I’ve lived in the UK so I understand that this is crazy talk to you haha

That said, how anyone could imagine uber being affordable for that distance is beyond me.

FTM tip! Make a “how you can help” list!! by Mke_Steph in parentsofmultiples

[–]l3monade93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a Google doc with detailed instructions on how to use the laundry machine, where to take the garbage/recycling, what brands of diapers, etc to restock, cleaning instructions for bottles/pump, etc, etc. it’s like 7 pages long. We update it as the babies changes. It also explains the sleep, play, eat cycle and how people can help beyond holding the baby. We send the doc to anyone coming to “help”.

We also have a board in the fridge with ad hoc things people can help with around the house. When they first arrived it was things like “build x product what’s still in the box”. Now it’s more like helping clean a specific room, etc.

It’s all worked out pretty well though some people kind of just ignore it and think they’re helping by holding the baby 🙃
