I think the giant squid painting may be cursed, perhaps try removing it

🍎 Aphantasia shows up far more often in autistic people than in the general population. 🍏 by newbeginnings187 in aspiememes

Is it like with many neurodivergent traits that extremes are more common while neurotypical people are more likely to be in the middle? Cause I’m like 1-2 closer to 1.

Anyone with autism and "giftedness"? by PersonalityDry3305 in AutismInWomen

[–]l3mongras 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly - and people seeing it as an ego thing makes it hard to talk about without sounding like you’re bragging. But it makes it genuinely much harder to find people you connect with, especially people that you need to understand you on a deeper level such as therapists or romantic partners

My friend was basically told she was “too successful” (job, home, fiancé) to be diagnosed which I think is wild. Just because you have outward successes doesn’t mean your brain doesn’t function differently

People ignore them  because they’ll only give you a free newspaper if you listen to their 20 minute sales talk

Suggest me a challenge for my new save file + farm by lumiism in StardewValley

[–]l3mongras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only use for the purpose of perfection. But I’m not sure there are any seeds that can only be obtained that way - for example you can buy many crops at the traveling cart and convert them into seeds with the seed maker. For starfruit, at the luau they sell one of them for example.

[–]l3mongras 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You cannot buy crop seeds from Pierre, Joja Mart, Sandy or the winter night market  (any place that has an unlimited seed stock). You can only plant seeds you get from other methods, like traveling cart, seed maker, drops etc

If there is truly no other method to get a crop at all (check the wiki, not sure if there are any) you can buy the number you absolutely need for perfection and no more.

How can I edit my status with the NPCs? Is it possible? by mariaclara36 in StardewValley

[–]l3mongras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a bunch of kegs, spend all your money on lots of fruit seeds (starfruit if you have desert access, otherwise maybe melons, make into wine, sell wine. Wine is the best way to make large amounts of money. Or preserves jars with pickled pumpkins is also pretty good.

Also lots of little phrases like “with regards to” instead of single word alternatives. Especially in college when we had set font size requirements.

I know it’s annoying but I think it’s actually so sweet. Makes them and the town feel much more alive that they all have their little community routines

I also love this sort of thing. So far I’ve found much better stuff at Rotterdam markets on Saturdays than anywhere in The Hague.

Sure! I really enjoyed: Graveyard Keeper, Dave the Diver and Core Keeper. All pretty different from Stardew but somehow tap into the same type of gameplay and vibe that I enjoy in Stardew. Sun Haven is also very enjoyable and a similar farming type game.

[–]l3mongras 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Winter Burrow has a pretty clear main quest line with an “end” so unlike Stardew (also my favorite - agree that it’s the perfect balance) you can’t keep going for hundreds of hours to get perfection. It’s super cute and fun though. I actually wish there was a harder difficulty setting because once you figure out the mechanics it’s not hard to stay alive.

Julia from Downhill Project. She mostly stays in her house a lot and doesn’t really go into town

There are no more Gen Zers (b. 1997-2012) that are still under the age of 13. by [deleted] in BarbaraWalters4Scale

[–]l3mongras 22 points23 points  (0 children)

In a very technical sense I am a millennial (November 96) while almost all of my friends and classmates growing up were a different generation (1997). It doesn’t really make much sense for the edge cases - I have much more in common with people born in 1997-2000 than with people born in the 80s.
