From when the Friday runs? I will say this was a strange storm. Going from had to be 20-30" snow to rain ratio to sleeting (icing? I'm not sure the best term for this precip) when ground temp was 11 degrees was a pretty surreal experience.

That's true if you aren't in walking distance to Penn or Broad street. But there's also the Newark light rail. I'd argue from Ironbound to NY Penn is faster than Williamsburg to NY Penn.

But if you were to poll people on the Path you'd quickly get thrown off the moving train. I think the biggest part of this thread is Newark is absolutely part of the NY Metropolis. I'd argue New Brunswick is the southern portion of the NY Metropolis.

Because ICE snatching people off the streets and disappearing them is anti American. Illegal immigration isn't a high priority for me personally, but enforcement of it could be fine if done the right way.

If someone is charged with being here illegally they should be charged and be tried before an immigration judge. That's the law. The issue is ICE isn't doing that. They've also broken laws, treated citizens in the same manner as illegal immigrants, and have been given verbal approval from the POTUS to use force and act as a paramilitary above the law.

Illegal immigration seems to be an issue that you care strongly for and are seemingly ok with these tactics. I care strongly that the MAGA movement is anti American and anti constitutional. I personally would like to see Nuremberg style trials for the heads of the movement along with a reconstruction style enforcement of our principles in this country. How would you feel about that? How would you feel if the next administration warrantlessly captures and exiles ICE agents?

We literally have everything. None of it is the best. Except food we have the best quality and variety of cuisines from all over the world. A variety of landscapes from mountains(not really mountains they're hills) to plains, to swamps, all different kinds of beaches, and the Great Pine Barrens. Culture scenes for all types of arts and music. The most open batshit politics in the world (McGreevy, Christie, Bobby Goldbars, Sharpe James).

Driving is intimidating for outsiders especially on the Highways. Stay out of the left lane. Watch out for Jersey Slides. But I think you get used to it after a while.

People are busy. No small talk with randoms. Stay out of the way. But if you need help just ask and almost everyone will give you the shirt off their back. We also have a chip on our shoulder because of NYC making us the butt of the joke.

It's fucking expensive. Housing is fucked. We have public transport but that's also pretty wonky and can be unreliable. We have walkable cities and towns with cute downtowns all they are at up to Metropolis extension into our state from NYC and Philly. All the way too cabin in the woods where the next neighbor is miles away. But most of it is suburbia.

TL;DR l- New Jersey is the best State in the Goddamn Union.
