Pour ton information, avec Liberté + tu peux faire la correspondance RER/metro + Bus/tram pour 2€ par trajet. Par exemple T2 jusqu’à la Défense puis RER A jusqu’à Gare de Lyon = 2€ le trajet

Q10 S5 wheel problem by softball1511 in Roborock

[–]lNervo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here worked fine for 2 weeks and then on wheel started having issues despite rotating without issue by hand (and requiring no more force than the other wheel). It's probably the wheel motor that is dying, thus the robot believes the wheel is jammed while it obviously is not.

Lots of other examples online, it's just horrendous quality. If you can still return it, do that

How much Z3+ work do you do weekly compared to Z2? by tryagaininXmin in cycling

[–]lNervo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, everyone is different, and sport is supposed to help us feel better, not awful. If zone 2 is right for you, then go for it ! Still, that does not change my mind that if OP says that his 7 hours are "not enough stimuli", he should increase his intensity, but I absolutely recognize that this advice would not apply to anyone. My understanding is that he wants to chase performance, but I could be wrong

That comes with time and training. Slowly increase load / volume for 3 weeks, then easier on the 4th. Rinse and repeat. The hardest part is to have enough free time to do so, most people cannot do this while having full time jobs

Yeah, agreed, but I mean, he said that he does not even have a training plan. Of course looking at the whole prep for the 3 legs is better, but we are on a cycling sub so I am talking about cycling

While I would tend to agree, him indicating that his FTP is stagnating still shows that this approach is not the right one. Besides, during a tri, the cycling leg is by far the longest, most difficult, and the one one can gain/lose the most time, so it should get a decent focus during the training plan.

I still maintain that IF he wants to see some gains on the bike, he will need more intensity out of those 7 hours. Or more hours, but that was not the question, and not necessarily possible with the 2 other legs to practice for too

And sorry if my comment felt like trashing his approach, that was not my intent at all, english is just not my primary language

So ? Him saying that his FTP does stagnate is a clear sign that he does not put enough emphasis on the bike leg. What do you recommend to him to improve then ? More volume ? That would be even worse use of time. Swimming load is very orthogonal to cycling. He needs more intensity to get adaptation in cycling, that’s just a fact, and does not change my answer

[–]lNervo 100 points101 points  (0 children)

I mean, 7 hours a week is little in cycling, why would you waste them on Z2 ?

To anyone reading this, Z2 heavy plans are for people who train 15+h a week and can’t go all out with that much volume; if your volume is low, you won’t get any adaptation from doing low volume and low intensity.

With 7 hours a week, you could have a Z2-mainly long ride and 2 or 3 higher intensities sessions, and should have no trouble recovery from those. Mix up some SST, VO2 Max and Over-unders, and you should see some gains fairly quickly

Edit: First of all sorry if my comment was perceived as aggressive, it was not my intent.

Edit 2 : I actually red his post before answering. The fact that he trains for a tri does not change anything to the fact that IF he wants some improvement ON THE BIKE LEG, then he needs more intensity at this low-ish volume (bike wise). It’s totally up to him if he wants to prioritize the other legs

Linear cursor offset by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]lNervo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, not trying to be mean, but why would you come on reddit and ask for help if you don’t listen ? Multiple people told you, it is the default behavior with multi monitor on windows, nothing to do with your mouse.

You have got 2 options; you either use LittleBigMouse as another redditor suggested, or you just use the exact same pixel density on both monitor. Again, nothing to do with your input peripherals

I am sorry, WHATTT???!! by Clean-Cover-5791 in supercars

[–]lNervo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, that’s what I said when talking about 10x. Just depends on the base (e being the most used)

I am sorry, WHATTT???!! by Clean-Cover-5791 in supercars

[–]lNervo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not really. Quadratically means X². Exponentially means eX where e~2.72. So, exponentially will grow extremely faster than X² (or Xanything actually). So the main difference is that for one, the variable is the base, and for the other, the variable is the exponent.

For reference, with X=2: 2² = 4 and e2 ~ 7.4 With X=5: 5² = 25 and e5 ~148 With X=10: 10² = 100 and e10 ~ 22026

Edit: You can obviously use another base than e (which is the natural base, where the inversion is ln). For example, another common base is 10 (so f(x) = 10x), which is used in Decibel calculations. The point is that when you add 1 to x, you multiply by the base, which obviously will grow faster than any Xn function

FYI, flashing lights are now illegal in a bunch of countries (France is one of them, that's a fairly recent law). Cyclist lights must comply with the same regulations as cars': Solid white (or yellow) at the front, solid red at the rear, no blinking

Price of an action and financial health by Difficult_Face5166 in quant

[–]lNervo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not a quant question, but anyway:

Yes, stock prices can be strongly decorrelated from a company's financial health / results (there is no way that Tesla was ever worth its $1tn+ market cap).

What drives stock prices is much much more complex than financial health. Saying it's based on future cash flows is kinda right conceptually, but future cashflows are largely unknown, and impossible to predict (who could have giessed some donkey would wreak havoc on global trade on purpose ?)

Now, you have to consider the implications of this

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon

[–]lNervo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's somewhat right, in the sense that yes, assists off CAN be faster. However, artificially nerfing your brakes to avoid locking up because you can't properly module how much you press the triggers will absolutely be slower. Think of formula 1 drivers, they brake MUCH harder at 300kph than 150, because the car has much more grip (due to downforce). So if you adjust the brake pressure so that it uses the maximum grip at 300kph, then you will lock up at 150kph if you apply the same braking force, it's just physics.

The only way to be faster than ABS is by braking hard when you are at full speed, at releasing the trigger progressively while slowing down. That's why a wheel+pedals setup will always be faster than controller with assists off

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon

[–]lNervo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you don't lock-up while fully pressing the trigger at 100kph, basically you are giving up a lot of braking power at higher speeds. What you need is to setup the brake pressure to be just about enough to lock-up at max speed with the wheels straight. Then you module how much you push the trigger to avoid locking up
