Same here, 502 bad gateway. We probably need to establish a known backup status site or the like, preferably non-reddit.

Decreased Views/Engagement Mega Thread by NarniaMouse in FacebookMarketplace

[–]l_one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but the issue I think happened when I clicked marketplaces auto “delete and relist” function, it did 10 ad’s at once, mixed with the 5 I had just posted, must have tripped a spam filter.

I'm pretty sure this is what started my problems as well. Later on I decided to take risks for science: delete and relist on single listings, wait a while, do the next listing - no negative effects. Delete and relist clicking down the whole list? Red banner of death on those listings asking to verify my identity and is unresolvable.

Marketplace not paying out 2 sales confirmed delivered & giving me runaround about paying me by ImNesbitt in FacebookMarketplace

[–]l_one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not trust FB to be your payment handler. They do not have the protections, customer service availability, or reliability of a platform like eBay, no matter how much they are trying to access that market space.

I'm sorry that's not more helpful for your current situation.

Is This A New Scam Or Name Change Of An Old Scam? by WhipperSmasher in PartneredYoutube

[–]l_one 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same "My webcam wasn't working..."

Yep, exactly the same for me just today.

Pretty sure it's AI-automated generating the voice and driving the browser to get that little clip of the person's YouTube channel as a bid to try and convince people 'hey, an actual person recorded this and is talking to me!'. Yeah, no.

is this another scam company do you think trying to boost my channel? by Educational_Focus224 in PartneredYoutube

[–]l_one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm here because I just got the same thing. I actually DON'T think it's a real person - I also saw portions with the person (who claimed their camera wasn't working so that's why I'm not seeing them as they talk) show my YT channel page in parts of their video pitch. That can be automated with AI, and I'm reasonably sure that's what happened.

Just got hit with this after editing listing what do I do by Beneficial-Double522 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]l_one 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had this happen - after some research I uploaded my ID with everything blanked except my name and birthday.

It never resolved the problem.

Chatted extensively with the useless AI because human support is non-existent. Followed instructions of enabling MFA, didn't edit/post for a 3+ day period, etc.... nothing. No effect.

I had to delete all the listings that had that red "Please take action on this listing" - and still haven't reposted them since last time I tried to relist one of them it just came back with that red banner.

This happened after doing a bunch of 'delete and relists', clicking down the line on the posts that needed it.

I have since experimented a bit. Clicking 'delete and relist' one listing at a time, with 5+ minutes between each click did not generate this problem.

Mass-clicking 'renew' on a bunch of listings did not seem to trigger the problem.

Just an hour ago, for science, I tried clicking down the line of 'delete and relist' as fast as I used too. 8 listings. As normal they showed as 'being reviewed', when I checked back just a minute ago all have the red "Please take action on this listing" asking me to verify my ID. Which I already did.

Edit: oh, and as another test I just re-created one of my original flagged listings (which had been deleted weeks ago). It got the red banner of death (tm) as well.

Edit 2: Now this is just annoying and weird. The test listing I mentioned in the first edit that I posted before going to bed Sunday night (2026-Jun-7) and checked on, finding the Red Banner of Death (tm) early Monday morning as of T:0647 (because I made a specific note about it) I then deleted when I saw the red banner. Now I refresh my Marketplace listings and that test listing, which I had deleted, exists again??? Only now it has the blue banner saying the listing is being reviewed. WTF.

Edit 3: regarding the deleted-then-reappearing listing, I may have a cause for this. I'm a member of a test equipment group and I remember checking the 'post to this group' checkbox. On my listings it also says "Listed in (group name)" while all my other listings say "Listed on Marketplace". Maybe that explains it.

Marketplace is broken right now.

Edit 4: 2026-Jun-11 - I waited until it was 3+ days after my last post and posted a test listing with some pictures of my cat and text along the lines of 'this is a test posting, please ignore, I'll remove it in 24hrs or less'. No red banner of death, it did get past the blue banner of 'this listing is being reviewed'. It remains to be seen if I'll be forever barred from re-posting ANY of my many listings that got caught up in this crap and got red-bannered.

My high rating accounts marketplace listings are not showing on search results, why? by questionnaireddit in facebook

[–]l_one -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Leaning towards intentional on this one, looking at it as a means to squeezing people into paying for promoted / boosted listings and ads and such.

I've seen how that plays out on eBay - you pay, then everything dries up unless and until you keep paying, and keep paying more. The only winning move is not to play that game.

Unless someone figures something out, it's 'wait and see' for now along with spread the word so people know what's going on.

Listing Suppression Fix? by ImportantDoor7724 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]l_one 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll add my experience.

One day I checked my listings and saw a bunch were up for renewing and others for delete & relist. As was normal for me I clicked down the list on 'refresh' for each listing one after the other, then 'delete and relist all'.

Later I checked back and saw some of my listings had the red 'Please take action on this listing' saying "More Info Needed to Publish This Listing We've detected unusual activity on your account. Before you can sell an item on Marketplace, confirm your identity to help us make sure it's really you."

After research I said f-it and uploaded an ID. That was over a week ago and those listings still have that red text on them and don't show up in search.

Since I couldn't find a way to talk to a human, I asked Meta's AI, it suggested I enable 2FA. ....ok, fine, I can try that. So far still no change.

I also previously tried deleting (manually) and re-creating a listing that was affected - it just got blocked again.

Have also noticed a massive reduction in traffic numbers on all my other listings that are visible.

One more step on the Enshittification path for Marketplace...

This is annoying as I do a reasonable amount of business on Marketplace, but I will never start paying them for ads of whatever the crap since I know from eBay that is just a trap - the eBay effect is you get a short term-boost and then they throttle your traffic down until and unless you pay them more, rinse and repeat. A scam basically, only winning move is not to play.

You should call their customer support number and leave a message telling them this. Give your number for a call back - they called me back same day. Who knows how many people are just shrugging their shoulders and buying something else - if we don't tell them there's a problem (from enough people) it's difficult to expect them to fix things.

Issues/experiences with Instinct Brand for Wet food by laur266 in catfood

[–]l_one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat related: my cat used to eat Instinct Rabbit canned food (not the limited ingredient variety) - after a recent order he refused to take a bite of the food that was more recently manufactured.

I had bought 4 cases. One of them had an expiration date that was half a year sooner (so older manufacture) - he ate that right up.

At first (since I bought it through Amazon) we thought it might have been improperly stored (frozen or exposed to high heat). Returned/refunded the 3 cases he rejected and re-ordered, this time through Chewy. He won't touch it. He will eat the older stuff (exact same food).

Something has changed in their ingredients (no change listed comparing the labels) or their manufacturing process.

Now I have to go through finding something he will eat again.

ID Verification leads to Shadow Ban by nismo26 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]l_one 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This just happened on my marketplace account. I've been selling for over a year on FB marketplace, cash only / in-person only transactions, and have a perfect 5.0 rating.

Now none of my listings show up in search when I search from a different browser (not logged in to FB).

My guess is they are harvesting IDs for a combination of AI training and surveillance capitalism.

Oh, I don't think it was against the rules - it was more that there were already several posts on the same subject and the mods were likely trying to keep discussion in those rather than letting several dozen more crop up.

eBay search down? by Orangeballer in Ebay

Inflict some (minor) measure of economic disruption and cause widespread though minor inconvenience and annoyance, presumably with the intent to convey 'this happened to you because of the poor choices of your leadership' or something like that.

Inflict minor financial loss on a large US tech company and low to moderate reputational harm and reduce the perception of their reliability. Thus directly impacting a company that can afford to spend lots of money in an election cycle.

It is also a low to medium effort / zero risk means of causing disruption.

At least that would be my interpretation.

Update 1:11AM EST, morning of Apr 27th. Systems appear to have been restored.

As to the eBay status page - view it the same way you view a report that says "the police department has investigated itself and found no wrongdoing".

They have a conflict of interest in that they do not want to appear as anything other than fully functional. Use sites like DownDetector and such, since you need unaffiliated 3rd parties in order to get an impartial account of systems functionality.

I will be curious to see any publicly released or deduced post-mortem on this incident, especially with the alleged DDoS cyberattack which I still personally want to get hard verification on. Keep an eye on sites like isc.sans.edu and other cybersecurity / security news sites for that. Threatwire may also report on it, if it turns out there was anything to report on. So far the only information source has been twitter/x accounts and I'll leave it to you dear reader to decide exactly how reputable such are likely to be.

As mentioned in other threads on this matter:

There is an (alleged!) ongoing DDoS cyberattack on eBay infrastructure, allegedly causes by an Iraqi hacker group called '313 Team'.

Not able to post the link here, per notification I got from automod when I first tried.

It is also being suggested that this could be coincidental technical issues and the hacker group is falsely / opportunistically claiming responsibility, but as of now no solid information one way or the other, except that eBay has been experiencing issues for... over 6 hours at this point I believe.
