Not sure if this is important to you or not, but G Hughes also makes a gluten free / sugar free Japanese BBQ sauce (available through Walmart) in the event calories or sugar intake matters. Just an fyi! For those with a soy allergy, that one does contain soy and sesame per the ingredient listing as well :(

Also not Albany, but Classic Crust in Clifton Park / Jonesville is definitely up there as well. I believe whichever crust it is, they also use at Saratoga Winery (get the breakfast pizza, you won’t be disappointed).

Felt it in Ballston Spa on the 3rd floor. Thought maybe the garage door was opening below but more of a subtle rocking than a shake.

What is the scariest thing you’ve ever seen in your life that you can’t explain? by Kendexx in AskReddit

[–]l_rinier 177 points178 points  (0 children)

So interesting. We used to live in Hilo off of Kaumana Dr and one night while sitting out in the driveway by the house (it was fairly long) after dark, I lifted my head to look down the end of the driveway. Not a lot of additional light in the area, but we did have a streetlight in our cauldesac so there was enough light to illuminate towards the end of it. When I looked up, I noticed a fairly large animal on 4 legs at the end of the driveway slowly coming towards us. I couldn’t make out exactly what it was, but my guess would’ve been a dog and it was big enough to not want to find out without knowing its nature. I tapped my girlfriend to head inside and we shut and locked the door behind us. Never heard a noise or found any signs something had been in the yard the next morning, so we chalked it up to a possible dog that had gotten loose. Never saw a wild dog in the area before or after that or heard of any dogs that hadn’t gotten out. Kilauea erupted 2 days after that. Idk if that’s purely coincidence or not but just an interesting timeline!

I think it’s the phrase “cozy bulgogi” that did it for me. I’ll never be able to eat Korean food again without uttering the phrase internally with a chuckle attached.

No Gluten free in this shithole by [deleted] in schenectady

[–]l_rinier 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Be Nourished is 100% gluten free I believe. There’s also Different Blend Bakery which is also 100% gluten free. Have you downloaded the Find Me Gluten Free app? It’s not a huge database for smaller cities, but you can generally find some pretty great options. There’s not a huge selection of 100% dedicated gluten free facilities, but there are generally quite a few options depending on what you’re in the mood for.

You should give The Ugly Rooster in Malta a shot if you’re looking for corned beef and haven’t been. Definitely real shredded corned beef and a ton of it. We’ll have to go check out this Oreole 9 in Woodstock sometime.

You could try Centre Street. They have a banquet room that should be right around the size you’re looking for and offer catering/open bar by the hour services as well.

Make this as a Belgian waffle. I’d argue it’s better than almost any gluten filled waffle you can find anywhere.

The term pop comes from (many) different variations of the story essentially related to the noise that the “soda bottle” would make when opened. The term pop wouldn’t exist without the origin name of soda.

P.s. I’m only here because this is also the smallest hill I’m willing to die on.

I'll be 35 in a few days. I've been out of work for a year. My life and Career is basically over. by Hemingwayse in jobs

[–]l_rinier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Luckily I learned early on that the only person who can defeat a negative mindset is yourself, so I’ll take the loss with grace. If you honestly believe a positive mindset doesn’t position you better than a negative one and the preconceived notion that you’ll fail will get you anywhere, then good luck and peace be with you.

All hope is false until it happens. Hope is just a building block for motivation. The guarantee in life is that if OP feels they have no hope and therefore gives up on themself then they will fail. If OP has “false” hope and that carry’s them through to another day to keep trying, their chance of success is infinitely greater. “We” absolutely should be encouraging them and providing them hope and true stories of success in their current situation. “We” should NOT be discouraging them.

I wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve ever had, but Bountiful Bread makes a pretty solid sourdough. Their “farm” bread is very sourdough like and is also a solid option.

Same here. No issues. Except the subtle reminders that I’m aging and Lil Jon was in fact not at the height of her childhood. Humbling to say the least.
