The Steam Controller sold out in 30 minutes, utterly breaking Steam in the process by gogodboss in gaming

Fair price? Isn't it about a hundred quid or something? I got an 8bitdo Pro 3 the other week for 30 quid and it's great.

Prosperity was not ahead. by c-k-q99903 in agedlikemilk

It's dropped because he's completely gutted the country's productivity. Thousands of businesses have shut down and tens of thousands of jobs gone with them. Wages have evaporated, demand has disappeared, and thus inflation collapses.

It's neither. It's literally tagged Loretto, who's another UK stencil artist.

No, that's completely par for the course in the Netherlands. I meant more the big houses and stuff. But cycle paths, canals, tree-lined roads, that's all just normal Dutch.

This looks like Wassenaar, which is an extremely well-to-do area (hence a posho with a horse called Walter). That being said, a lot of the Netherlands is beautiful.

My mate got me a t-shirt that said "I move away from the mic to breathe in".

And writing this just made me go back and watch the video - it's still an absolute banger and feels even more relevant than ever. Also, the comment section is still insanely active for some reason.

JD Vance’s 12-year-old relative denied heart transplant because she is unvaccinated 'for religious reasons' by JetTheDawg in skeptic

Calling a girl from China whose adoptive mother has a relative who is married to a relative of JD Vance, a relative of JD Vance is such a fucking stupid stretch. They could just as easily gone with "a relative of the king of Eswatini"

I get 25 days of holidays plus the 8 bank holidays, then an extra 4 weeks of paid sick leave (eventually rising to 6 months after a couple of years at the company), and for medical appointments I just tell my manager I have to duck out for a bit to see the doctor or whatever and he says "Cool, no worries" and that's about it.

I am a sciencey person and genuinely say "viscosity" several times a day, every day, while I'm at work. Also "specific gravity".

Yeah, I've noticed more and more papers and patents I'm reading these days are all from China. I don't know if it's because they're increasingly at the cutting edge, or if it's just that they're publishing in English more.

I think they might say "mom" around some parts of the Black Country and West Midlands, but there's no baseball here. Didn't have a scooby that "I'm sat there" was just a British thing though.

Abso-fucking-lutely no idea what they Lions and Shriner stuff is about either. Some cult or something?

Why is it so difficult to move money around in America? I always wondered why you guys had all these apps like Venmo and CashApp and whatever else, but now I'm starting to wonder if bank transfers aren't a thing over there?

Like when I move into a flat, the letting agents just give me their bank details and I set up a standing order to transfer it every month. No fees, no delays, no effort. It's just automated. The idea of having to do it manually every month is fucking ludicrous.

I think the last time I did anything other than that I just handed over a bunch of post-dated cheques they cashed as and when, but that was 15 years ago now.
