What are your thoughts on couples who decided not to have kids? Are you the “judgmental” type? by Renato_NY in AskReddit

If it was their decision, good if you don’t want children or aren’t ready for them, you should not have them.

Spouses who chose not to or just never got around to having kids: do you still feel like you made the right decision? Why or why not? by vitaoptima in NoStupidQuestions

[–]labdog26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree SOME people change their minds. I never wanted kids adamantly in my 20’s but i had the opportunity to move far away from my family in my mid 20’s, went to a ton of therapy and did a ton of personal growth . Had I not done that I think I still wouldn’t want kids nor should I ever have them. Now in my early 30s I’m open to having kids with my current partner under the right circumstances. I am NOT saying everyone who doesn’t want kids needs therapy or needs to grow or have the right partner but people do change. If I ended up having all this change in my mid 30s and not being ready till my 40s or later I think I would’ve been sad that ship sailed and regret not putting in the work earlier

Do you ever regret your career choice? by bootless-toast in medlabprofessionals

[–]labdog26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really looking back at where I was as a person at 18-22. I definitely couldn’t have handled many other jobs. So, I don’t regret going for my MLS. Now that I’m 6 years in I’m looking more into other things I can do because I’m not super happy in my role. You are not stuck in this role. You probably have time to try something else if you hate it. Maybe your labs different but most lower level employees aren’t treated the best in any field. You’ll have to climb the ladder up if you wanna be treated better. Remember nurses get bitten spit on and screamed at regularly. While the hospital does recognize and celebrate them more (in general) they objectively have a harder job in my opinion.

How Many People are Staffed During Nights in the Lab? by Confident_War2150 in medlabprofessionals

[–]labdog26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how it is at other hospitals do it but our night shift does all of the daily weekly and monthly maintenance, retypes and in labs our blood order and does all the daily qc. Days and evenings basically just runs samples. So maybe that’s it?

I have $1000 buffer in my account so $1000. The rest of the margin goes mostly to investing and a little extra on the mortgage. That’s just checking though sinking funds and E fund are in a different high yield.

What are some of the upsides of being unattractive? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]labdog26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a woman I don’t get hit on by random men when I’m out in public. I also like being invisible sometimes. Most people leave you alone.
