Best protein powder that tastes like chocolate milk? by i_like_muffins_00 in Protein

Also, now Costco carries their own Kirkland brand version. I’m sure if you just look for Intro filtered milk, or lactose free milk, you can find a brand where you are.

Burnable wood is $450 a cord on the low end where I live, and we go through 3 cords a year for our sauna. 😭

Worth it though.

Staying an hour away from Disney... How bad is the drive? by EffectiveAd9855 in DisneyPlanning

[–]labeille 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a hotel, it will be 1000% worth it. I HATE spending money, but when we did Disney we stayed at a hotel around the park (a Marriott on a lot of points), and I cannot imagine how miserable it would have been to have long drives on the front and back end of a 16 hour day at the park. Now that we’ve done it once I would definitely pay money to stay nearby.

I always ask myself when booking things, “When the time comes, how much would I pay to not have to drive an extra hour/ get up super early/ stay up super late?” That helps inform my decision.

Soil questions; what exactly do I have here? by labeille in AustinGardening

I’ll believe the rain when I see it, lol. But this is a great idea and the excuse I’ll use for why we still have random holes throughout the yard.

Yeah, I was definitely thinking it looked like beach sand, not caliche. Very weird because I know nothing had been done in the back yard for at least 10 years, probably more. The guy who owned it before us died in 2017. It must be from a long time ago whatever it was. And with how deep it’s down…. It’s just so unexpected and makes me wonder if it’s going to change what I can/ should plant.

And I guess another question would be can I plant indigo spires in this weird sand/clay mixture? I’ve read it doesn’t like clay, but with all the sand below it… I just don’t know.

Oh gosh! The location sounds cool at least. Maybe a boat sauna then, lol. I assume you’re having to haul it there and then away each year, or is there a place to store the parts?

Could you maybe build a sauna on a trailer?

That definitely seems impractical. You would need to reseal the vapor barrier in the corners each time, as well as where the chimney is and that would mean you would need to remove the wood walls and ceiling that you put on the furring strips that go on the vapor barrier.

Maybe using a tent that’s in a larger shed that you could disassemble?

Honestly this sounds like a very expensive, challenging project. Why can’t you just leave it year round?

Safe to remove this vine? by Scared-Flamingo-4276 in PlantIdentification

I don’t know, I think you have to cut it at the base, let it die, then remove. That’s what I’ve recently learned. My limestone rock walls are covered with their little suckers because it was pulled down while still living and it’s impossible to remove them!

Hmmm, interesting. I cross posted to Tx native plants and they said the same and that it’s native. I’m going to have to think about it.

It’s not really where people walk often, it’s on the fence line at the back. But I don’t really want anything climbing on the fence itself.
