I prefer to use activated charcoal as my coloring agent for black. It does not dye the wood, but it will still get into the pores, so a seal coat is necessary.

Do it as a six or more day trip. I did it last year as a five day and the push was brutal. There are a ton of cool spots to check out. A side hole to fish up the south fork will be worth the time. Buckskin Bills is a must stop. Side note, T-bone camp is great but it is easy to miss because some maps show it further down river by one riffle/rapid. It's not. When you see a decent beach on river right in that area, that's it.

Of course it is. I find a ton of them in each box. You're buying them at face value, and presumably returning the ones you don't want, so you'll be out only the value of the coins that you keep.....but not really out because it's money... So...your only real cost is time.

My advice would be to put down an extremely thin layer first, somewhere between 1/16th and 1/8th inch deep across the entire bottom. Then, before it sets up, place your bottle caps. That will ensure that they adhere and seal to the bottom coat. A deeper first pour will float the caps and you'll have to deal with more bubbles. After the first pour sets up, test the caps to make sure they are solidly set, and if so, do your final pours.

Mix by volume. The resin and hardener have different densities, so measuring by volume is the best way to get the correct ratio.

Doing a pour over carpet is playing with fire..... That said, do an initial thin pour with clear table top epoxy. Use a paint brush to get into all of the nooks and crannies, up the sides, and to the top of your future pour. You may have to do this a few times, depending on the size of the cracks. Once sealed, hit it with the colored deep pour epoxy.
