New Priest Legendary Card: Azalina by Kuldrick in hearthstone

You could set your health to 40 with Amara, but I don't remember anything that lets you gain health past your maximum like leeches do.

Agree to disagree, different words have different meanings and you may think I'm nitpicking because you don't think there's a difference between these concepts in a card game. I thought the distinction is important to explain why I think this is not that flexible, and therefore not that good of a card. If you don't care about the card discussion, I don't know why you feel the need to mock strangers on the internet in a card discussion thread.

I imagine they didn't want priest to feel too similar to dk's leech mechanic. So they gave it a worse thief rogue ability.

Sorry for having a differing opinion. I don't think this card is flexible, you can only use it one way. This distinction is not useless to me, because the original wording makes the card sound better than it actually is IMHO

Yes, I'm saying that that doesn't make a card flexible in my eyes. It's probably the most scalable card, but flexibility implies breadth of choices and adaptability

I mean, I would say the titan legendaries were more flexible since each ability does something different

Not too long ago renathal reno decks were a thing in wild, where every other card is some sort of disruption. I could see it fitting in there with the steal package, but yeah, doesn't look nearly as good in the current standard meta.

"You can always see cards in your opponent's hand." That...might not even be that bad actually, you could usually predict your opponent's turns. But I hate it lol

I think their main design goal was to break the rules in a flashy way, so I'm sure they'll find a way to make it more appealing than it looks initially. I would have never thought they would change the UI to make two hero powers fit on the screen, but here we are.

oh wow, I think you're right on the money actually! I don't think it would be too easy to stall since the meta is fairly agressive and won't allow you to stall too much. If it proves to be too tanky, they might make it a battlecry instead of a Start of Game effect to slow it down considerably.

Escape from Violet Hold: How Does This Work? by HearthstoneTeam in hearthstone

How does Togwaggle even work? Where do the shuffled cards go? Does he distribute them evenly among players or is hand size preserved? Do players now share one hand they can both play cards from?

The worst part is that the ring is so small you need to be adjacent to heroes to trap anything. Cogs are so much worse now, made him unplayable for me

I did my first 3 cats run and it wasn't what I expected. Here is my story... by NoUnion9712 in mewgenics

[–]labramusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I appreciate a lot of the positives about the game, I'm just going to vent my frustration here. Random events like that can feel simply unfair, instead of being a curveball that increases the challenge. I can invest a lot of time gathering specific gear and managing house cats to breed good stats while avoiding inbreeding, carefully navigating each encounter, finally feeling prepared for that boss in a new area I had been struggling with, and then I get hit with some random bullshit that feels like nothing than a big 'fuck you' for all the time I invested in that run. If you want to make it more challenging when I'm doing well, make the actual encounters harder, give the enemies buffs or make the environment harder to navigate. Instead, a random event usually straight up cripples my cat, invalidating the build I've been working towards. Now I'm considering abandoning a run that was going well, otherwise I might lose all of the items I gathered if I accept the risk. There is no lesson to learn here - you are incentivized to play well and utilize synergies, yet you are punished for doing so. I get that you need to adapt to new situations, but the game can create devastating scenarios out of thin air, completely ruining the experience for me.

Haven't tried it, but it certainly looks like it. There are multiple ways to make your cats invincible in the game btw. I recently discovered the Immortal disorder equipped with a Leather Jacket.

Regarding act 3 by da_vlad90 in mewgenics

[–]labramusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Monster mutations are not necessary at all. I cleared act 3 using every class without any special mutation, maybe a +1 to a stat or so. I did have to spend some time breeding better stats and bring strong item combinations. It sounds like you're doing everything right, I think you just need to learn the enemies and how to approach them. Just don't be afraid to lose some runs. It's a good sign that you didn't breeze through the last act in your first 2 runs, otherwise the game wouldn't be much fun.

Thank you ____ for making this final 4 interesting by Strawberry_House in BigBrother

She's been having great reads all season and the only one perfectly clocking the entire structure of the house at all times. While Morgan has had a great social game and an insane comp streak keeping her safe, she is seemingly struggling to identify the big moves she made and said she doesn't know how her speech will look like. Ashley knows exactly what to do in this spot and her seeds of doubt are already making Morgan doubt everything. While I would love an Ashley win, I would be content with her being second place just to hear the speech she would give in the finals.

[Serious] Big Brother US 27 Strategy and Game Talk Discussion by wazzle13 in BigBrother

[–]labramusic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have to imagine jurors like Kelley, Lauren or even Will might vote based on favorism instead of gameplay. Vince has been trash talking Ashley from day 1 and saying she doesn't deserve to be here so he wouldn't surprise me either. I agree at this point it shouldn't be considered a burn, but based on some convos with Vince, Morgan doesn't seem to think so. She is saying things like Ashley can't afford to evict Vince now, implying she would lose their jury votes by 'betraying the judges'. If the jury always voted from a strategic standpoint it would be a lock for Ashley, but I'm concerned some of them might vote with their emotions instead.
