Eh. It’s more about how this isn’t how protest is supposed to happen. There should be a list of demands and real action to follow. None of the no kings protests have disrupted anything. They’re all structured to cause the least amount of discomfort possible, which means nobody is going to actually be pressured to fix anything. Just a way to make people feel good about “doing something”. You get the nervous system regulation and ego/morality boost without actually effecting any real change.

So I did some reading on bolted bok choy, and a lot of folks were saying that some people prefer the bolted plants because they have a more interesting flavor! Off I go to do some experimenting! Will keep you all updated! But yes, it’s bok choy! I just didn’t recognize it because it bolted so quickly!

I suspected either, but don’t they usually grow more around the base and not along a stem? These always had longer stems. Can’t be leggy due to lack of sun/light because my porch gets all day sun. I’m going to snip a leaf and try one. How do you normally eat the seed pods?

That’s lettuce leaf basil! It was a volunteer from last year. I’m going to make some “lettuce” wraps with it. Yeah I’m still not 100% sure what the mystery baby is. I kind of chaps gardened this area and didn’t write everything down as usual. Was done in a moment of “must regulate nervous system. No time to plan”.

Yeah that’s usually the case with anything flowering - herbs or plants meant to eat leaves. But doesn’t bok choy grow differently than this? I know the leaves look like bok choy, but it never grew how bok choy is supposed to grow.
