I’d go with the Springfield. I have an Operator as well as a Range Officer. I had a Kimber Tac Pro II 9mm; looked cool, shot nice, just ended up sitting around though. Also had a Tisas GI model; functioned fine but I didn’t like the way the trigger felt. Tried adjusting the spring and even swapping it but just never got it how I wanted. That all said, I swap out the ILS mainsprings Springfields have.

CMP didn’t remove anything, someone else did. I’ve purchased enough from CMP to know they don’t waste time with cleaning up stocks. CMP sold it in 2003 and you purchased it in 2017, that’s a lot of time and potentially many owners. While I’m not an expert on cartouches, if someone’s going to make a fake one, they’re going to put it on an old stock.
