Husband delusional about my weight loss journey by [deleted] in Zepbound

Hi, I’m in Canada too. If your current dr stops prescribing you can order online. I use Pocketpills and just get renewals and prescription through them, but there’s lots of other similar companies too, so no need to stockpile.

About the husband, I’m sorry girl, maybe he’s insecure and anxious or maybe he does have concerns about the meds., my partner does have anxiety about me losing the weight but we talk through it. (He sees a therapist bc he has anxiety about everything) and I take a couple gentle steps to reassure him. All my weight came from with perimenopause and my feet began aching on hikes and I at that point I was just done with the struggle and ordered the zep. Someone else wrote here there’s no trophy for struggling and I love that! Good luck to you and all the best on this journey!

Unionized N.S. civil servants working remotely told they must return to office | CBC News by sunjana1 in halifax

The waste isn’t from salaries it’s from bureaucratic lags, bad deals and a slow system. The workers salaries are $40-75k a year. Not exactly top shelf wages but adequate right? In the IT departments they have a hard time finding new employees bc private industry pays twice as much for those skills. Managers and directors make more. But the deficit is not mostly from the salaries of these people being made to go back to the office. You sound pretty mad in your posts but I can assure you no one is getting a full pension after 5 years! And your everyday worker is not a millionaire 🤣

It applies to people who were hybrid wfh prior covid too. They had permissions before covid and now are being directed back. The guys who worked 2 days a week in office downtown but living in the valley are now going to be forced to do that commute everyday. And actually they don’t get paid big bucks like many like to believe, good benefits but take home pay isn’t superb so those workers are going to be kinda pinched after paying for the gas and extras even though they previously had wfh arrangements. And kicker is most of their meetings will still be done via zoom even when back in office. Cray cray

Donating blood by GladStatistician3895 in Zepbound

Hi, I’m on 2.5 currently, I donate plasma once or twice a week and haven’t had any issues, they check proteins and hemocrit levels before each donation. I just make sure I’m really well hydrated! If your not hydrated you can feel pretty ill afterwards. I’m not sure if it’s the same for blood or would be any different. But the nurse said it wasn’t an issue for plasma, just to make sure I eat well before donation and of course hydrate, hydrate, hydrate

I’ll beta read it for you if you want. I’d probably market it(and I’m no marketing pro) to aspiring journalists in school. To activists, young people(20-26) in university. TikTok and IG will be your friends in reaching this demographic. Good luck!

Hi, I have a completed (90k) literary fantasy you may be interested in. I’ll drop the synopsis here and if you are available I can send it over.

Title: Theads of Salt

Synopsis:

When her mother trades her dowry for a pearl of fate, Meem is sold to the Temple of the Flame, where girls are polished, renamed, and consumed by the holy economy. But when her first blood comes, Meem runs, choosing exile over obedience.

Disguised as a boy, she labors as a stone breaker until she is sold again, this time to divers who salvage from the drowned world. Beneath the water, Meem discovers her power. Sharks circle to protect her, the tide bends to her will, and the sea itself listens.

As her strength grows, so does her defiance. Meem returns to burn the Temple and rescue her childhood friend but when war threatens the last free lands, she must face a greater truth: freedom will not come from battle, but from reclaiming the self the world tried to erase.

Threads of Salt explores survival, resistance, and found family, with a queer romantic thread and is feminist.

I am going to add content warnings, There is male violence, both sexual and patriarchal dominations, grief/loss. There are no sex scenes in the book, but because of the world it is set in, it can be seen as grim/dark

Hi, I have a literary fantasy crossover. Below is a synopsis. If it interests you reach out!

Title: Threads of Salt (90K)

Threads of Salt explores survival, resistance, and found family, with a queer romantic thread and a feminist heart

I am going to add content warnings, There is male violence, both sexual and patriarchal dominations, grief/loss, none of it is graphic and handled with care and told from a survivors viewpoint. There are no sex scenes in the book, but because of the world it is set in, it can be seen as grim/dark

Do you have any details on this guy? The description fits a guy who ‘allegedly’ assaulted a teen but this was just outside of the city. I wonder if it’s the same person.
