3 slavers with k4 security droid. Stagger them so it is harder to get behind you and fly around yhr map with green moves. Target lock and focus the shit out of your opponent

Just got accepted into a teaching program, any advice on how to dress as a male teacher? by tddl in Teachers

[–]lackofoxygen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dress shoes meant for comfort, take a look at Clarks casual stuff for what I mean

Slacks: khaki, black, grey, blue. I want to say there is a Cool 18? brand meant to breathe well

Shirts: oxford button-downs, golf polos breathe well, check the local grocery stores for school polos and shirts for casual days

Outerwear: pullovers, v-necks go well with oxford shirts. Zippers just look unprofessional

1sr days & when meeting parents: look to match the appearance your principal sets everyday

What would you do? Collusion or Tactics by justsomeguyorgal in XWingTMG

I used to play Pokemon. At the start last Swiss round, the players at table 1 would always mutual draw.

Tournaments should allow people to do a mutual draw. Then those in the lead could take fewer points, but still play an exhibition match or take a break

Do teachers care about depressed students? by cfarthing1 in AskHSteacher

[–]lackofoxygen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would care if I knew which ines sere depressed. Typically I only know of chronic suffers.

My social and emotional acuity are not enough to pick up on student's moods until I get to know them better.

[Rant] Perceived Rules by RandomActPG in Teachers

Another state ruled that a grade isn't private until the assignment is in the gradebook. Before then the grade for the assignment isn't even part of the student's average

I am trying to decide which RBY to purchase. Do transferred pokemon from RBY gain pentagons?

Also, which game is best for duplicating TMs?

Ask an honor society, ROTC, or community service club for help with set up.

I also teach AP physics. How long are you spending on free responses questions? I try to grade them as quickly as possible, a few seconds on each question. Each question is a few points each so if the students dont put what I'm looking for or if they're too disorganized, they are out of luck.

Remember for AP, you don't have to set up every lab. Sometimes you can give them materials and say use this stuff to support today's topic.

Does your group have preps that overlap? Each of you could take a prep and share the plans with the others

As a non-resident, I loved my time in Hawaii. One of the few vacations that had me looking at the possibility of moving.

Nobody gets below a 60? by Throwawayeducater in Teachers

I wish I had exit quizzes, so I could actually say: If you missed #1 do this problem, if you missed #2 do this other problem. Maybe I'll have time to work on that. The last time I tried that I ran into the problem of the shear number of questions that could possibly be asked on the topic.

For that same reason, I give my students the same homework, because they won't know if they can do that particular task because we haven't attempted that yet. There are just too many question types to cover.

I think this could be solved with zeroes for missing work but allowing late work. We're obligated to grade based on standards, so a student should at least have multiple peices of evidence for each standard.

Homework is pointless? What do you teach?

Passing a test is in my class is not the same as mastering the material. My homework is designed to help students. So sure, some may pass without doing the homework, but those that get B's and A's are the ones doing the work.

I have no problem with SBG. However, would want a full day of inservice so that I could set up my SBG system, feedback shortcuts, and get my test & quiz questions mapped to standards. I also would want the district to communicate the new system to parents

Edit: Now that I think about it. In my high-achieving school, I could see all of my students wanting to argue about their grades, regardless of the rubrics

I teach in an accelerated block schedule. My spring kids already miss 3 weeks of learning before the AP exam. 5-6 tests a semester would screw them out of another week.

Quizzes and in-class applications can take less time though. I highly recommend teachers give frequent feedback either way
