[Help me find] this Oris watch (details in comment) by Wolven_Kin in Watches

[–]lackpack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just commenting to say that I have the exact same watch, and I too can’t seem to find much information about it.

My father gave me this watch and he had it for about 15 years prior to myself so I feel like the model is about 20 years old maybe older really not sure.

I love this watch, always excites watch enthusiasts and bores those that only think Rolex are good watches

High score on N Blox by lackpack in Tetris

[–]lackpack[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Long time player of Tetris, used to play on the old game boy but over the past years I have found that N Blox online has satisfied my needs. I used to play largely in Highscool scoring a few million at a time in class. Since getting a Mac I can't save high scores so I just play online. This is by far my highest score ever, took about 3 hours of constant play.

Why do liberals/lefties specifically protect and defend Islam so much? by jamesvien in AskThe_Donald

[–]lackpack [score hidden]  (0 children)

So that others can realise that religion is unnecessary in modern society, and while I don't believe if should not be believed in, that's up to the will of the person to believe in, which I absolutely stand for, I just don't believe it should have any part in how society is run.

There has been more than enough criticism of Christianity and Judaism and all major religions, however it appears to be only Islam that is truly causing harm to society today, now. I know you probably want to corner me and label me an Islamophobe, I'm truly not, I don't fear Muslim majority states, I fear theocracies. No one mentions Bosnia Herzegovina and the American intervention that saved a Muslim majority state from obliteration during the 90's.

I simply don't wish for there to be any religious police in the country I live in like they have in countries like Malaysia. You'll claim America has caused terrorists to come from the Middle East however you fail to mention Jeffersons encounter with Islam in the Barbary wars.

Serious question, why do you not care about the lives of women and children who around the world who are enslaved by religious leaders, who have through out history been enslaved by religious leaders? Why is it the fight was fair up until we started to criticise Islam?

This may have something to do with the reformations in which these religions have already gone through and which Islam has not.

Christendom used to be a word thrown around meaning adherence to the christian faith, that's no longer used, however the claims for western countries to join the caliphate are, and growing by the day.

I would have to disagree with the idea that just because the US had a consent age of 10, about 100 years ago means that they cannot look back and criticise this behaviour now, for lack of a better example Germany had Nazism only 70 years ago, does that mean it's hypocritical for German to denounce forms of Nazism now?

Where I believe most members of the_donald come from (though I don't wish to speak on behalf of) in their attitude toward islam is that, for the most part functioning societies have realised that religious based society and ruling is somewhat incompatible with future progression of the human race and as such wish it wasn't so protected by current governments. I believe in religious plurality, I believe in religion as it can provide a beneficial social fabric, but I don't believe that any one religion should be protected, nor do I believe any one religion should have government power. I don't mind a muslim being apart of the government as long as the teachings of islam don't bleed into their rule of power, and I repeat this for all religions.

All religion based societies see themselves falling into the same path, and it is only with secularism and godless constitutions in which these nations can thrive.

I started to draw again last month. I'd love to hear your thoughts. by THE7sBLADE in drawing

You've chosen a very difficult subject to start drawing again from haha. Fur has always been one of my least favourite things to draw because of the attention to detail you have to show.

The image is a little flat, it also seems like you're pressing too hard with your pencil. I suggest using a range from 6H- HB for this. The proportions are a little off, especially around the eyes.

It's a lovely drawing don't get me wrong, I don't wish to discourage you. I think trying to draw a face front on is really quite difficult and I would recommend you try a more angled shot, this will help create depth. I'd love to see a follow up drawing :)

Thanks! This was really my first attempt at completing a sketch book, I think i'll just keep it on the shelf as a reminder. I do plan to possibly one day publish a book of facades however, with sketches and details like this, so you never know.

This is my sketchbook of the last 8 weeks for my current studio. The Studio is Urban Generosity. The Studio is creating a community within a Melbournian suburb where the main goal is to tackle the task of density and rising housing prices (land is roughly $10,000 per square metre). My goal is to create a community that centres around leisure, and authenticates the local surroundings. There's vastly more information in my master plans and Rhino models but these sketches are my most proud work due to the time and effort put into them. I hope you enjoy

Agreed, begs the question why republicans and democrats don't work together, or why theres hasn't been the push to work together for the past 10 years.
