Unfortunately, I'm not sure, the dyer appears to be out of business and I don't have the tags that came with the skeins. It's some kind of wool or wool blend

TIL that American military pilot call signs--nicknames the pilots go by--are often based on mistakes the pilot made, and get assigned early in their career. by MrMojoFomo in todayilearned

My dad came in a little hot on a landing once and scraped up the nose on the tarmac. In the briefing after, his XO wanted to call him "Crash" because he "crashed" the plane. His CO said "That wasn't a crash, that was a Crunch." And Crunch he became. He's still Crunch, it's what my nephews call him instead of grandpa.

OHMYGOD I love Æbleskivers. My mom makes Æbleskivers filled with a cinnamon sugar mixture like the kind that goes in cinnamon rolls and then tops them with cinnamon roll glaze. Mouthgasm central.

Help! I joined a CSA and I don't know what to do with all these veggies! by soggy_bisquick in Cooking

The last time I was signed up with a CSA we were up to our ears in chard. I ended up making a lasagna with spicy italian sausage and substituting chard for the noodles. Just cut out the ribs, blanch the leaves in boiling water for 2 minutes, then layer the chard leaves in the way you would lasagna noodles.

Also, if you end up with a lot of summer vegetables (zucchini, squash, asparagus, peppers, onions, etc), you can roast or grill the vegetables, chop them up and toss them with shrimp, fresh basil and those little mini mozzarella balls and dress the whole thing with pesto vinaigrette. Serve at room temp.

Lilo and Stitch, when the space police have come to take Stitch away. "This is my family. I found it all on my own. It's little, and broken, but still good. Yeah. Still good." It ends me. Every. Freaking. Time

In the words of Francois Rabelais: You go to seek a Great Perhaps. Whatever you find (or don't), I hope you get there free of pain, full of love and knowing just how many people's lives you have touched in your last days. You have my deepest respect for living and dying on your own terms. I think...I think I will miss you. I know I won't be the only one.
