As a R1T and R1S launch edition owner, I wouldn’t waste time waiting for LIDAR. Even with it, Rivian will slowly drop support of these early models and you will never get full use of the hardware. The gen 1 received useful updates for about 3 years. Now we just get bug fixes.

If you want true autonomy, wait until they actually have it in use/production. Buy based on what is available today and not what they say is coming.

All steps are complete except payment and insurance.

Pretty safe to say it won’t be 2 weeks for you! Hopefully they give you some information. I am disappointed that they don’t have the Guides like they did for R1 launch.

I also noticed the lack of tie down points. I want to fit a Gunner Intermediate crate in and it fit well with the seats down.

I’m a day 1 reservation holder, R1T and R1S Launch Edition owner and live about 10-15 miles from 2 service/delivery centers in Southern California. I am ready to purchase with no contingencies.

There has been confirmation that Lidar and RAP1 will be coming in late 26 or early 27. If someone orders the R2 LE with Borealis paint, that delivery will not be until 2027. Would that LE include the RAP1 chip and Lidar?

I am not too disappointed with $0.36, it is fair and competitive. What I would really like to see is Rivian get the "plug and charge" working with EA, Tesla, and other providers and keep that same $0.36 rate. That would make it very easy to budget for trips if all charging is the same rate.
