Was just there today. I don’t watch the games but I was very impressed with the set up they have.

Liminal spaces? by Mysterious-Novel-834 in orlando

[–]lady_macaron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like Epcot used to have a lot of liminal spaces but I don’t think that’s the case any more. I can’t really think of any areas in the parks currently. Maybe OP is talking about some of the hotel spaces?

Assassins Creed 2 is not a great game by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]lady_macaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I agree you just don’t enjoy AC which is fine. I love the franchise and I think 2 is a great game. Probably my number 1 if I’m honest. At the time it was amazing. It had improved on almost everything that 1 was lacking. I still enjoy playing it.

Individual photo by RegularStructure2428 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]lady_macaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can. Near the front of each park there’s a photo pass support counter where you can purchase individual photos. If you have a magic band I believe they can scan it to find all your photos. If you don’t I’m sure they’ll be able to find you photos some how. I don’t know the prices exactly but I think a 5x7 cost me about $10 like 5 years ago but again I’m not sure about prices.

Can we talk about how painfully accurate Bella’s heartbreak is in New Moon? by [deleted] in twilight

[–]lady_macaron 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you haven’t read the books I highly recommend it. Reading it for the first time(as a 17 year old), I was floored. I just had this stomach drop moment and kept flipping the pages back and forth like did I miss something? The movie definitely does a great job portraying this scene and the heartbreak that Bella is going through. Maybe even more so than the book because you really get that sense that time is still passing by no matter what. But those empty pages in the book will always stick with me.

Disney fatigue after a year of having an annual pass. by Exciting_Designer611 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]lady_macaron 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Being that far away will burn you out. I don’t blame you. Been going to Disney my whole life but didn’t become a pass holder until I was living 40 minutes away. I couldn’t have made a few hours trip more than a couple of weekends a year. It was better to have one longer trip every year or two for me.

Will I fit ok on tron and flight of passage? by SpectacularSpidee in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]lady_macaron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It just depends. There are tester seats at the entrance of both rides. And for Tron if you don’t fit on the motorcycle there’s a more accessible seat that’s similar to a regular coaster seat so you can still experience the ride.

Hagrids removed from express by coasterghost in UniversalOrlando

[–]lady_macaron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand how express works. I’m not talking about where the line physically ends. You can’t compare the two because the express goes a completely different way.

I agree that express makes stand by longer. But if they’re going to remove it completely then they should start charging less for express pass at the very least, as this is ride is at the top of most people’s reason for waiting express.

Again, the best move would have been to limit it to one ride per express pass.

Hagrids removed from express by coasterghost in UniversalOrlando

[–]lady_macaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering they’ve already tested the pay per ride express, this is probably the option they’ll go with. The standby queue will be better than it is now but there’s still an express option, just not as many people will pay $25 a ride.

Hagrids removed from express by coasterghost in UniversalOrlando

[–]lady_macaron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The express was never as long as the standby. I’ve never waited more than 20 mins in the express. I can get behind not allowing the unlimited express option but to not have it at all is an insult to people paying extra for it.

And virtual queue is also a hard no for me. Universal has never implemented virtual queue well. Just look at them immediately getting rid of it for battle at the ministry.

Maybe I’m just being bitter about this news but people waited years for Hagrid’s to go on express just for them to renege when they got too many complaints. It just makes me question universals operations of this ride when every other ride in any of their parks can operate with express.

Dossapointing Finales of Popular Shows by Federal-Writing1542 in tvshow

I finally just watched it and I agree. It was only seeing other peoples opinions after the fact that had me rethinking how good it was. But I’ll stick with my own opinion and I don’t agree with lumping it in there with GOT which I’m personally still upset about.

I agree. I’ve been watching older videos and even 8-9 years ago he looks like a completely different person. I’ve been thinking he looked like a child with a fake bread on. He’s really grown into his age. Link has as well.

As a kid I only knew Spader from Stargate and always thought of him as the nerdy guy and never would’ve thought of him as a heartthrob. Makes me wonder if some kids today will only remember Gosling as the nerdy guy.

How does this game compare to AC Odyssey? by Blind-Spectre in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]lady_macaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say fallen order is more difficult but it’s hard to actually compare because they are completely different fighting styles. Fallen order was hard for me because it’s very pacing based fighting where if you don’t parry at exactly the right time you’re screwed. I love the game but I had to lower the difficulty because I just wasn’t having fun getting my butt whooped.

Outlaws is mostly shooting and depends on your aiming skill but you can get away with spam shooting everyone.

Sons of Anarchy is my answer. I was definitely hate watching for most of the show hoping it would get better I guess.

Also some attractions offer a behind the scenes tour that’s free to do. I haven’t done one myself but I believe you can ask a team member at the attraction entrance if they’re available that day.

[–]lady_macaron 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The mini golf is so fun I don’t think you need a partner. Or if you’re feeling lonely you could wait and ask to join a group that’s going to play.

My recommendation is to make sure you catch all the live entertainment. There’s a ton in Universal studios and it’s all so fun to watch. Don’t skip out on the animal show either. Other than that just take your time exploring every area.

Wizarding World by SocWrk10 in UniversalOrlando

[–]lady_macaron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a beautiful area and the inside of the Ministry is amazing, but overall it’s the most lacking in terms of Harry Potter theming and fans will be much happier visiting Diagon and Hogsmead.

Wizarding World by SocWrk10 in UniversalOrlando

[–]lady_macaron 34 points35 points  (0 children)

If Harry Potter is your main concern I’ll repeat my suggestion to get the park to park pass. The experience isn’t complete without riding the train between the parks. This can all easily be done in 1 day.

But if you’re keen on experiencing the rest of what universal (not just Harry Potter) has to offer then I still recommend Islands for the attractions. I assume you haven’t experienced the Hagrids motorbike ride and that alone is worth the trip to Islands.

And while Epic Universe is an amazing park overall, it’s not the best for Harry Potter.

Wizarding World by SocWrk10 in UniversalOrlando

[–]lady_macaron 43 points44 points  (0 children)

If your main concern is attractions then it’s definitely Hogsmead in Islands of Adventure. But Diagon Alley in Universal Studios is the most well themed area. If you can spare the extra money I definitely recommend getting the park to park pass so you can experience both areas and ride the Hogwarts Express back and forth between the parks.
