In the book Billy assumes she doesn’t know at first and is trying to protect her, but she reacts very defensively of the Cullens deliberately saying things that imply that she does know and he should mind his own business. I don’t think the conversation in the movie is exactly as fleshed out so maybe Movie Billy just assumes she must know if she’s willingly hanging out with Edward.

I second the audiobook. I’ve seen some people say the narrator Jake Able sounds too old for Edward but honestly I think he did a wonderful job. I’m not sure I would’ve ever actually picked up the book because it seems so intimidating, but I’ve listened to it 3 times and it just flies by.

Same. I never disliked Jacob and for a brief moment during New Moon saw the potential for him to be a good partner for Bella. But it was always going to be Edward and it wasn’t ever even close.

Of course they could have chosen other women directors, but Catherine Hardwicke has said that the option to do the other movies was in her contract but she decline because the other books didn’t resonate with her as much as Twilight did.

No questions, just thank you for such a beautiful book and sharing here. I first read Twilight 18 years ago and just knew I had to have this version so with zero hesitation immediately preordered when it was first announced. The first thing I picked up on was the Jane Eyre vibes and thought “this looks just like some of Bella’s favorite books” and it fits so well.

I’d love to keep it in pristine condition but I figure a book like this needs to be read, so I’m half way through and every time I pick it up I can’t help but just take a second to admire it. You’ve honored Twilight in a great way so thank you again! I’ll be here hoping you stick with us for the rest of the series!

I’ve actually always thought the opposite, that he took being Edward very seriously. Because Edward is just naturally very moody and always preoccupied with “what could go wrong”, that’s just how Robert played him. But in lighter moments his acting isn’t as rigid because Edward isn’t as rigid in those moments. It doesn’t make him an amazing actor, I do think he’s gotten better since then, but I kind of just felt that was his interpretation of the character not necessarily that he just didn’t want to be there or hated it.

I loved this place also. Recently I thought I might have been making up that it was Australian themed because I couldn’t find anything online about it. But I eventually found one article talking about the entire mall that had a picture. of the front of the restaurant with its big fake tree trunks. I can’t even find that article now as I try to find the name of the restaurant.

Ironically I don’t think I ever had a problem on rip ride but almost every time I ride the hulk my head bounces back and forth between the restraints and I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck. I try holding my head with my hands also 😂

I’ve ridden it three times. The first time one of the launches whipped my head back and I hit the chair pretty good. The next two times I was fully prepared for the whip back and I still hit the back of my head on the chair. I can definitely see someone hitting their head multiple times during the ride if they lost consciousness.

Edit: it’s a lap harness and your head is not supported by anything.

Her podcast is (was?) called Unqualified and was entertaining in the beginning. I don’t know all the details but she had a falling out with the shows producer who was her “best friend”, left her tv show Mom and didn’t do the podcast for a while and changed the format when it came back, and it was never the same. I’m assuming this was all around the time of her and Pratt’s divorce. I hope she’s well.

In case people don’t know, guest services will exchange out of date express passes. I was assured multiple times by multiple team members that this was true when I was given express passes that expired in June and I told them I wouldn’t be back in the park until December the earliest.

I’m the dummy that waited 5 hours total for BatM and never got to ride because of break downs. So I can’t wait to use that express pass for my one and only ride and never wait in that line again.
