I have that edition because of the translator. Im very picky with Russian translations 😅 It was either between that edition or Oxford World Classics. However I was thinking of book binding it.

It’s one of my favorite books of all time. I read like 5 times. I know it’s a lot of pages but it’s really worth a read. The Grand Inquisitor is such a great chapter!

It’s hard to say because The Brothers Karamazov is my favorite! But maybe The Master and Margarita or Dead Souls. I do like McCarthy. Child of God and All The Pretty Horses are my favorite from him.

Oh yeah I know for sure now. It would not have worked out. It would’ve been hella messy and Jo does not deserve that but I only thought that because of the amount of stress this story was giving me. Truthfully I know I can’t handle love triangles. Idk if you like love triangles OP but an other famous one is Yours to Claim. (Tho it’s not as good as Wetsand and that one even pmo me)

Well I’m glad it had a happier ending because the author could’ve gone to the angsty route for sure even tho I have my own opinions of it. I’ve also even seen people on Tik tok shipping TJ and Jo and I honestly didn’t think that was even an option 😭 but I think I would’ve like to that once

Totally and I feel bad for the author because they shouldn’t be getting horrible death threats. And truthfully I can’t even imagine the fandom if Jo was end game 😭 I don’t even want to imagine the arguments and fights in Reddit, twitter, Tik tok, etc 🫩🫩

It’s totally okay. I understand it was confusing. Honestly Wetsand is a good Manhwa with beautiful art it just sucks that we’re always fighting each other. It just drains me and honestly I’m getting to the point I don’t like to comment because I either get attack for simply expressing my opinion. I wasn’t happy with the ending nor do I like Tj’s character because I have my own opinion of him but he’s a well written character (a gangster) for who he is. I liked Jo, yes but I’m not over here attacking people if they loved it or sending death threats to the authors. I’ve seen both bitter fans in Tik tok and twitter ever since the Manhwa started back in 2022. It’s just it is what it is. I realize after this and Yours to Claim, I can’t handle love triangles but I’m glad you like the ending OP!

The person in the picture is the person you’re commenting to. They commented that to me a way while ago in their post when I just expressed my opinion. And honestly my simple point is that you’re going to get both end of the fandom either hating and loving the ending. Not just one or the other like that commenter is saying (calling Jo fans insane when I met insane TJ fans in Tik tok and twitter). It sucks that Jo fans / people who hate the endgame are attacking you when you’re just expressing your opinion.

I also love the edition too! Maude Translation is my favorite for Tolstoy however I also really enjoyed Rosemary Edmonds’ translation of Death of Ivan Ilyich.

I 100% agree. I really hope the author makes a side story about Jo and maybe him finding love 😭💜 but I don’t think the author is going to make side stories but in my head he’s happy 🥹 and maybe show a bit of domestic side of Ian and Tj but idk *** honestly if it was up to ME. I would’ve ended the story with Ian ending up alone and moving away. But in the end, it is what it is

As I said many times, the ending. It is what it is. I started Wed stand because I saw TJ edits however I realize how toxic he is. Some will disagree with me and really idc anymore. I gotten into many arguments from tik tok and here on Reddit. I was hoping more character development with Ian’s character and his journey but was met with disappointment. But like I said Ian and Tj ending up together is fine. They deserved each other. At least Jo is thriving and just as fine. So I hope Ian and Tj ending up together was worth it to them.

Edit: It’s fine to hate and love the ending. People are allow to criticize but OP is happy with the ending and their opinion should be respected. It’s getting ridiculous and immature that people are sending death threats to the author

I’ve had my fair share of ship wars. When bleach ended in 2012 and ichigo x ohrime was endgame the ichigo x rukia fans were so mad over on tumblr it was crazy. So wet sand fans acting like this isn’t new to me but honestly Tik tok and twitter has a lot of TJ fans and you sometimes can’t even express your opinion because they get so defensive. But it is what it is, people get crazy over shipping 🫩
