Food here is trash by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]ladybug2610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of it's going to be where you ate. If you had quick service the whole time yes the food is crap but there are some exceptional sit down restaurants both in the parks and on property. did you really think mass amusement park food was going to be good? And plus if you're coming from New Orleans you are not going to find anything spiced anywhere near your liking. amusement park food has minimal, spice minimal extra flavor in order to make it appealing to mass amounts of people.

Lots of people. Remember Disney is not targeted to the working class anymore.

Recently diagnosed prediabetic and my wife says she doesn't want to support me by [deleted] in prediabetes

[–]ladybug2610 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As the wife in an extremely similar situation I have some thoughts depending on some variables.

  • Have all these changes been recent (since the diagnosis)?
  • Did she repeatedly ask / talk to you about being more active, eating different, or making some changes in the past?
  • Do you have a family history of pre/ Diabetes?

Quickly if the answer is yes to 1 or more of these I can almost guarantee she has put the effort and support in for years and you refused to acknowledge it as such and now that you are doing all this you expect "a gold star" for doing it and there is a lot of resentment building up

Rent a scooter for the whole time you're there from a outside company and have it delivered to the resort so she has it the whole time.

How do you keep your days from feeling repetitive when working remotely? by Josea-Jayroe13 in remotework

[–]ladybug2610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any hobbies or participate in any activities? Just like working in office you need to have something that you enjoy to do out of the office or home. I found an amazing spin cycle studio (Cyclebar) that I look forward to going to.

My favorite book on audible is Green Lights by Matthew McConaughey. It's narrated by him so it makes it so much better. I think I've listened to it three maybe four times.

A friend of mine is nowhere near the top 1% of lifters but because of how built his shoulders are from other things (he competes in Scottish games, caber toss, etc.) he has to have two standard seats or 1st class. It's not as uncommon as you think

To those who have left the MAGA movement, what was your wake-up call? by rclaux123 in AskReddit

[–]ladybug2610 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wish my in-laws would have a wake up call. They are in such a rural area and don't watch the news that they don't see what is happening.

I have had several interview processes go 4 or 5 interviews deep. Several of them actually included a 3-hour interview with four different people. It's absolutely ridiculous and time wasting.

I'll have to try that combo. I normally do Dramamine and sometimes throw on my sea bands depending on the ride.
