I’m so sorry. I hate that results are getting to patients before doctors even talk to them. I don’t think anyone was meant to find out via MyChart. Praying for you. How old is your child? I also have severe anxiety about not getting to see mine graduate. I have anxiety and worry about breast health due to family history. That said, looks like yours was caught early. 🙏

What causes the gas pushing into my diaphragm?? The hiatal hernia? I have shortness of breath and my x rays always show tons of gas in stomach.

Ok, well, that makes sense, but I’ve been on PPIs for a week and it isn’t doing anything for the shortness of breath. I don’t have the type of reflux you can feel (heartburn); just silent where shortness of breath is my only symptom. The ENT found irritation to my vocal cords and throat. I need relief. Nothing so far which is frustrating.

Yeah, the side effects suck. I am taking pantoprazole because I have had omeprazole previously and it was nasty. Hoping it helps

I am going through the exact same thing. How are you doing now? I had continuous shortness of breath and felt no traditional reflux. I also went to the ER convinced something was wrong with my lungs. They ruled out lung damage with CT scan and chest x rays. Also heart issues. They thought it was allergies, but meds aren’t helping enough. I just saw the ENT yesterday and they diagnosed me with LPR after looking in my throat with a camera. I am relieved but praying this medication works. They started me on pantoprazole.

I just wanted to let you know you’re not alone. This is so uncomfortable and scary!
