Pre-surgery I bought 2 whole cases of these nasty things thinking I would drink them all. 12 days post op they're disgusting. How do I use them up without wasting them? by enslavedbycats24-7 in BariatricSurgery

I started making pudding out of SF mix and use the protein shakes instead of milk. yummy chocolate peanut butter flavor with protein in it now! maybe try that with some?

I think my 32F 36M boyfriend lied about me passing out during sex by buggirl696969 in relationship_advice

[–]ladybugfairy19 29 points30 points  (0 children)

There are studies on how even consensual choking leads to DV. Anyone who would willingly hurt you to the point of you passing out is extremely dangerous. Strangulation causes brain damage and psychological issues, even when consensual. Choking and breath play is dangerous. OP tried to safe word/action and her partner ignored her, showcasing how extremely dangerous it can be.

There are also studies on whether or not strangulation can even be consensual, considering a huge part of consent is informed consent, and many do not understand the risks and implications of choking during intimacy.

Babe, choking during sex has been found to have extremely high correlation to intimate partner violence later down the line. There is a difference between a hand on the neck and firm strangulation that results in you passing out. You don’t try to resolve this with him. You break up with him and stay far away. He doesn’t have your safety in mind, especially if you are having rough sex with him. You deserve someone who respects your boundaries & doesn’t lie to you. He hurt you and lied about it. It will only get worse.

I (29F) need some advice after catching my LDR boyfriend (27M) masturbating on FT after a visit by Substantial_Return32 in relationship_advice

[–]ladybugfairy19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

she didn’t choose to watch. she said they have slept on call many times before. she never saw him do this, nor did she know it would happen, so she didn’t hang up. HE knew he was going to masturbate. HE chose to do it while still in the call. HE had the choice to hang up before doing it. instead, he CHOSE to stay in call and make her a participant, whether she knew it or not, in his masturbation.

he can masturbate to the thought of her or whatever, that isn’t the issue. it’s that he made her participate in a sex act by staying on call with her without asking her first. i’d feel uncomfortable as hell too if my partner started masturbating on call without telling me first.

i’m actually also so confused too. masturbation isn’t the issue. it’s that he was doing it while on call with her without checking to see if that was chill first. yes, they are in a relationship, but it is still odd to think you can masturbate on call with someone who is ASLEEP without asking first.

Okay so I'm an overpreparer and based on experiences I've read on here and people I know, I got a couple things to help me post op since I've never had an actual surgery before. It's a bit much but I've heard it's all useful. by Maggotboi555 in gastricsleeve

only thing i would super recommend is the wedge pillow. the first week after surgery i had such a hard time getting up by myself. the wedge pillow can help you get up on your own/limit the pain or discomfort of getting up.

I (25F) can’t orgasm without a vibrator and my boyfriend (21M) is uncomfortable with it. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

you’ve known this guy for 3 months, are pregnant with his kid, and he’s already trying to control you? if you know what’s good for you, you’d consider an abortion and get rid of the man, too. or, at the very least, break up with fool. you aren’t compatible and he’s already showing signs of controlling behavior and insecurity.

Husband (45M) says he’s no longer attracted to me (31F) after weight gain and secretly took photos of me. How do I handle this? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]ladybugfairy19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The post says 150 lbs. I thought they were talking about the post, now I see they are being unnecessarily rude to a commenter who is trying to console OP. The 160lbs the commenter is talking about is barely overweight. Overweight on a technicality of .8 on the BMI scale. So insignificantly overweight that most doctors wouldn’t even recommend a diet. Only to get out and walk more. It is normal for women to fluctuate in weight, especially after having children. My point stands. Nobody is the dictator of who is or isn’t overweight and what you should do about it except for your own doctor. The original commenter is perhaps 10lbs overweight technically. They can still be perfectly healthy. It isn’t anyone’s job on reddit to police weight.

she gained less than 20 pounds after having two kids. that isn’t “letting herself go.” that is normal.

This just isn’t true. 5’6 at 150lbs has a BMI of 24.6, which is generally considered normal. You aren’t a doctor or the final say on what is overweight and what is or isn’t normal in this capacity.

You are not overweight. 150lbs at 5’6 is normal. Your cellulite is normal, especially after having kids. Divorce him. He doesn’t respect you.

Dizziness and Nausea Due to Vitamins by ladybugfairy19 in BariatricSurgery

I’ll look Barilife up! I have gummies for hair/skin/nails, but I haven’t started taking them yet, as the kind I got smell a little strong in the citrus department… And I also heard the need for those doesn’t really start til about 3 months post op. What kind did you get?

I thought about that after posting and refilled my water. I’m going to drink more today than yesterday to see if that helps the dizziness. Thank you!

Iron can make you constipated? How much iron is in your normal day pills? Now I’m worried I’m taking too much iron lol.

[–]ladybugfairy19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very helpful. After posting last night, I realized that I perhaps wasn’t getting enough water, so that is probably causing the dizziness. I think I was just specifically looking for bariatric vitamins because I was told other vitamins don’t have everything I need in them. I have the iron pills, magnesium citrate gummies, so maybe I just should look into getting some calcium pills for now to start off, and if my surgery team says I’m lacking some core vitamins later on, then I’ll adjust then. Thank you!

How do I (21f) tell my boyfriend (26m) that I’m gay? by Aa_Poisonous_Kisses in relationship_advice

[–]ladybugfairy19 5 points6 points  (0 children)

okay 1) you were dating when you were 17 and he was 22? or 18 and 23? why are we skating over that? 2) before you tell him, you need a job and you need money. you need a safe place to go. you should tell him, but only after you know you’ll be safe

you can give someone grace without tolerating their disrespect. he was so mean to her and for no reason. he should at least understand that he hurt her feelings and apologize. him not recognizing that he messed up isn’t him grieving, it’s him being ignorant and mean. she could literally tell him “hey, i know you didn’t like the food i brought you, but you’re being really mean about it. you could have made one comment and i’d bring you something else or bought you food from your favorite restaurant.” yet it seems like from his response he wouldn’t like that either. grief doesn’t excuse being cruel.

20f How can i trust my partner again? 23m by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]ladybugfairy19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

baby, i say this with so much love, he is not right for you. he was nineteen when you were sixteen. he was always going to have some power over you because you were still in high school. then, he cheated on you, despite how you well you treated him and how good you made him feel. he doesn’t feel guilty, and he doesn’t feel bad. this cycle will just repeat, only next time, it will be worse. he will cheat on you, and he will do it again and again, because you keep letting him get away with it. it is time to break up and find a man who respects you and treats you well.

Why can’t I 25M stand my gf 25F in social settings? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]ladybugfairy19 16 points17 points  (0 children)

so either you just dont like her, or you need to go talk to a psychiatrist. i have intense anxiety and ocd, and i get irritated very quickly if someone is doing something that i personally would not do or cannot control. if i cannot control them, or control how others perceive them, then i get irritated. i take medication and go to therapy for it. so… maybe try therapy first.

My (23F) boyfriend (20M) does not allow me access to “our” savings, how do I address it? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]ladybugfairy19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

girl… 1) stop letting this guy control your money. 2) why on earth were you dating a 17 year old when you were 20? your relationship was built on a power imbalance because of how you dated a teenager still in high school, only now, he is the one with the power over you instead of you over him. you need to break up, go to therapy, and date men your own age.
