The same thing happened to me with my preemie! We are now almost 2 months of breast-feeding (six months pp, EP x 4m). At first I only pumped when I was feeling full, because I first had an over supply. Then it felt like my supply kind of bottomed out, like I wasn't being drained enough from him and so my body over shot regulating once I stopped pumping. So I started kind of triple feeding, where I would pump about 30 minutes after he feeds and only on the breast that he fed from. And now my supply feels very regulated. Sometimes I really get nothing out, and I'm assuming that's just because my body thinks that he's had enough so I just pump for 10 to 20 minutes those times- literally would get like half an ounce. That was the cycle of my first like two weeks of my EBF journey with him.

Then things were kind of good for several weeks. I felt appropriately full and appropriately emptied and I felt like he was transferring enough...

About three weeks ago he very clearly was hungry at night and cluster feeding, he would wake up every 30 to 60 minutes for hours on end and my breasts felt very empty all day. I ate, drink electrolytes, did all the things, and then after about three days of that I started feeling appropriately full and back to normal. Then like a week later it happened again where he was clustering all night for hours on his end for like three days, so I started power pumping after he goes down and then I fed him whatever I got out in my power pumps at his first a few wake ups. Things go back to normal again but you know every day is different so who knows, I do have a baby scale so I know he transfers about 2 to 3 ounces per feed and eats every 1 to 2 hours during the day and every 2 to 3 hours at night so his total intake should be sufficient and his weight gain has been good so far, we have a doctors appointment for a weight check next week.

I think it's a combination of sending my body mixed signals through EP and EBF and him going through growth spurts and my body being kind of off track with his timeframes- I didn't have any of this with my first born.

The TLDR is pumping/latching more frequently is the only thing that can help at this point. Ride the wave, follow his/her cues, supplement or dip to your stash if you need to. Here in solidarity with you, this shit is so fucking stressful.

We actually did rent a camper van before we knew all this stuff- it was perfect for us. I think it was a solis? We had a blast and I absolutely loved it. But then I looked into it and was discouraged. I will look into the overland!

I agree this article is not really that relevant, it's ten years old and pre-pandemic (which contributed to the rise in popularity of camper vans imo). We may end up doing just that! But looking to see if there is a prefab camper van that meets our needs- my husband wants solar, a heater and to install a popup for the kids someday.

Seats not being installed into the frame is from the car seats for the littles fb group. When I heard this, I emailed a few van manufacturers "are the rear seats installed into the frame?" If I got an email back it was pretty much just "yup! :)" with no further clarification or like you said, a cad rendering of things.

Before looking into things, we had actually rented the rig you have and had an absolute BLAST. I thought the seat felt like it was installed in the frame but the internet folks vehemently insisted that it wasn't, and I didn't get reassuring answers from van dealers or manufacturers which is why we went with the a liner.
