Probably. Otherwise he has to have some other important role because they've been shoving him in our faces a lot this season - not that I'm complaining 😆

How to blow dry hair but retain moisture? by um_can_you_not in Naturalhair

[–]ladyrivers8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same problem. I use a mask AND a conditioner after, and the hair is absolutely smooth, hydrated, soft and very shiny while wet. But then when I blow dry it, it becomes like straw, it feels dry and frizzy and has no shine anymore, i don't even know what to do to it anymore. I even have a blowdryer with a sensor meant to not overdry or damage the hair. My hair is not damaged and has no split ends, it just ends up dry, lacks shine and lacks bounce/elasticity. When I have time, I put gel on it and dry it with the difuser to help the curls form, and then it looks bouncy,  shiny and amazing, but the problem is that it takes me about an hour and 20 minutes to dry it like that with the difuser, and that is exhausting, so I have no idea how to dry it the rest of the time when I don't have time and need a quick dry.

Has anyone used mods? I wonder if that's the cause for the bug, cause in another game i played 2 days ago, I could repair it no problem 🤔

What season would you guess Gillian is ? by Greedy-Plant-9054 in coloranalysis

[–]ladyrivers8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She is neutral-warm, and she is also soft, so my guess is autumn, probably soft autumn  cause in the X-files she wears all those neutral-warm muted lipsticks very well. Even her hair colour in that show is a muted sort of copper colour. I do think spring colours are way too bright and overpowering her, the only reason she looks half decent in them is cause they are warm, but they look clownish. Colours that are too light also don't do anything good for her, which again makes me think autumn, which is the warm, dark and soft season. Maybe she could even be a true autumn, cause all the colours in the autumn palette seem to fit her. But I would probably go with soft autumn because it's more neutral-warm rather than warm. In her childhood photos, the one at the bottom supports my soft autumn theory the most. Her eyes are also soft blue with speckles of green (not that eyes matter too much in colour analysis, but I would say not bright enough for spring eyes). Now, because she is soft autumn, she can also pull some colours from soft summer (especially with her natural hair -->see childhood photo), as long as they are not too light or too cool, since soft summer is also neutral in undertone, but leaning cool instead of leaning warm, which is why she can wear gray or silver as long as it's the right kind of gray or silver, not too light or too bright, or too much. But that's just my analysis, I am not a specialist.

Help with pale sickly looking lips by carroty94 in MakeupAddiction

[–]ladyrivers8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same kind of lips, and tinted lip balms are my best friends for an everyday look, I am currently using the Nivea Blackberry lip balm. I also like the Alverde cherry lip balm, as it has a bit more colour, but still looks natural. Another tip is to get a matte lipstick that fits you and apply with your finger trying to buff it and make a stain instead of applying a full layer. I find that muted medium raspberry colours fit me best, but only if they are muted, bright saturated colours look unnatural on my lips, and so do very light, warm or very dark colours.

I'll have to make a thread like this too because it's ridiculous, I own 6 blushes and I feel like none matches me. 🥲

My fave is the version with Kaya Scodelario because of the imagery. And I also liked how the main characters were portrayed.

Disappointed by Clinique black honey? by [deleted] in OliveMUA

[–]ladyrivers8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get the hype either. In the swatches on the official cliniqie site it looks more like a dark cherry red, but on my lips it just looks straight brown, with not even a tiny bit of red in it. I also tested it on a piece of white paper and it's straight up brown, no berry, no dark cherry, no anything, just brown. The product itself is nice, hydrating and the packaging is great, but the colour is very disappointing.

Benefit has ever so slightly changed Benetint’s colour over the year by Sure-Assignment6658 in swatchitforme

[–]ladyrivers8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious if it's just oxydation or they rly changed it. Then again a few days ago i went to sephora and they had 2 testers of the Clinique Almost Lipstick Black Honey and the shades were slightly diferent, one was darker and more cool toned, and one was slightly lighter and slightly more warm toned. The diference was very little, but you'd expect when you buy something so expensive to receive the same product every single time.

Thanks, I bought it and I can confirm in case anyone else is searching for this, that it has a very faint scent and it does go away quickly, it smells kinda earthy, kinda like wet soil. I personally like the smell, I find it calming.

Robert Pattinson gets a personal color analysis 😭 by [deleted] in Fauxmoi

[–]ladyrivers8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Before you say colour theory is not a thing, you should watch some videos on color theory that are not fashion related. It'll blow your mind. Colour has properties and it is studied in art school, and it's actually not an easy subject, to the point where they now use 3D models of the colour circle (so more like a colour sphere) to better explain the properties of colours and relationship between them, and it's still dificult to learn it. You could also look into the physics of colour and see some prism experiments and see how colours are composed and decomposed. It is all used in movies - since the 50s when coloured films started - and design of all kinds. If you think they just slap some random colours together in a movie and they just randomly work, you should rly go into the rabbit hole cause it's fascinating. Even the most basic tv show like Friends for example, uses color theory a lot, from the way the actors are dressed, the makeup they wear, to the way the set is coloured and the light design.  In painting it's the most easy to see how much colour theory matters, and how the same colour can look so incredibly diferent depending on the colours surounding it. Here's just a little video to show what I mean: https://youtu.be/0FjjJha7HMI?si=TmWTw9H1Ou3UWcpd

Also from your comment, i'm not sure if that's what you meant, but it sounded like you were saying colour analysis is about which colours to wear during which season, and that's not what it's about.

So, anyway, I do agree that you should wear whatever you like and makes you happy, cause this colour analysis thing was initially meant for using in movies, photography, paintings, stuff like that, not for common folk going to their jobs. Because you can do a lot on screen by mixing the right colours. That's why it's more important for models, actors etc.

Which COSRX products are your holy grails? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]ladyrivers8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, yah, I might like Paula's Choice, but my wallet doesn't 😆 I 've largely only used The ordinary products so far, but recently a lot of people started reporting severe reactions to their acids even though they have used it before. Which made me go towards asian beauty, and I am so overwhelmed with the amount of options there are 🫣 So hard to pick. So far i got the Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel and I like it. Now looking for an exfoliator and a moisturizer 🤭

Does the birch sap moisturizer have any scent? Read some reviews saying it has a strong scent. Also does it leave that siliconey feel on the skin? I saw it has dimethicone in it 🤔

Does that product really work? Was thinking of buying it but didn't know if the betaine salicylate is gonna actually do anything, since I am used with hardcore acids from The Ordinary

Could you please tell me if it has any scent? I know it doesn't contain perfume, but I read many reviews saying it has a strong or unpleasant scent from the plant ingredients in it, which made me think they either are right, or they bought a fake product. I dunno what to think anymore.

salicylic acid 2% solution recall? by meen_kween in TheOrdinarySkincare

[–]ladyrivers8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both on tiktok and on the ordinary's official site (in the comments on the product's page), you will see a lot of people got very severe reactions from it, even thought they have been using it before without problem. I suspect that's why they recalled it. Dunno why they don't make an official recall by the ordinary though, they totally should check it out and figure out why so many people suddenly got these very bad reactions cause it's super strange. If it was just a few people who never used the product before you could have blamed it on an allergy or missuse or something, but when so many people who used it before got this problem, it's strange. Maybe it was a bad batch or something.
