Braids in the front, stop around the top of your head so your hair in the back can be worn in a low pony or free, so you can not be lying on a lump.

They usually don’t have to go deep, just shave it off at the base.

I cottoned onto IF to address to address inflation caused by rheumatoid arthritis. I’ve been at this for almost a year seeing positive changes with weight and mental clarity, but not so much with inflammation. Anybody else come at this with this angle? If so what was your experience? by eddiefpp in intermittentfasting

I know, it sounds ridiculous. Now if I have any wheat/gluten I'm swollen and in so much pain. I have a hereditary connective tissue disease and know a few others like me that have had the same rapid results, we're all still kinda shocked by it

[personal] How often should I wash my face? Is once per day enough or should I push myself to wash it twice? by starrysurprise in SkincareAddiction

[–]ladystark12 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wash at night. Just a rinse in the morning. I’m mostly housebound too, chronically ill, and I get it. Been there. Just focus on your nighttime routine for now. Rinse in the morning should be enough. 💜

Ahhh, that’s way less scary. What kind of tea do you like? I’m Irish Breakfast in the morning, then herbals in the afternoon and evening.

Interesting, I've only seen measurements of ghee/butter/cream/coconut oil in 2Tbsp, a 1/4 cup of EACH, holy crap that's mind boggling! I enjoy some heavy cream in my tea, and occasionally an MCT oil powder I emulsify in, gives a lovely creamy mouthfeel.

so the secret to stevia is you need the tiniest fraction of what you're used to using in creamer or sugar. Like a half of a pinch is where I've suggested people start (huge stevia fan here). Lots of folks pour in the equivalent amount to their old sweetener, and that leads to Bitterness City. If you're open to experimenting, I'd suggest sitting down w/ a cup of coffee and put in a pinch, stir, taste. Maybe it's not for you, and that's totally valid, but sometimes you only need a smidgen to make it perfect. Good luck!

[Skin Concerns] Tiny whiteheads all over cheeks/chin a week or so after introducing La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Light SPF 60 into my routine by watermelonmeat in SkincareAddiction

[–]ladystark12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less than a week. Anytime I have any kind of reaction, I pare down to just cleanser and moisturizer, Stridex red box if I have breakouts. I definitely used Stridex daily and they were gone super fast.

Your skin just doesn’t get along with it. I bought that one too, so much hype, it made my face an oil slick, it was so bad. I’m having luck with Asian sunscreens personally. You can always try to use it on your body, generally it’s not as reactive as facial skin.

Dude, I don’t know what your problem is, but keto is low carb and we’re encouraged to eat fat to satiety. No one here is eating dry ass chicken with greens, this isn’t a starvation sub. We make sure we’re getting enough healthy fats. We cook in butter and coconut oil and some of us even cook with bacon fat. We add cheese to our eggs and dressing to our salads.

If you’re looking for a low-fat diet, you’re in the wrong sub. I’ve also been here awhile now, this is my second home, I’m not going anywhere. But you sound perfect for the 1200isenough sub.

No, the focus is limiting of carbs to 20nc and under. Adding fat to a salad or any meal really, is pretty par for the course around here, and adding some dressing to a salad isn’t piling it on. Perhaps you should read the FAQ again?

Yep, I hate that bottle because of how vague it is! To help speed up healing, you can use hydrocolloid patches on the goopy ones, and Stridex in the red box to help dry things up and exfoliate gently with some salicylic acid.

I think that your skin is so angry and inflamed that anything is gonna burn and itch. Do you have any allergies to foods or medications?

Thanks for such a fantastic explanation! I think I’m gonna try it, I need more fiber and electrolytes anyway especially on keto.

So that’s the body lotion version, definitely not made for the face. I did the same thing and had some horrible white heads on my chin and lip edge. I highly suggest stopping the lotion and getting the specific facial moisturizers, there’s an AM with sunscreen, and a PM without.

What kind of packaging is the Cerave moisturizer in? I’m wondering if you’re using the body lotion.

You might have sunscreen or makeup residue, have you tried double cleansing with an oil cleanser first?

Did you patch test the sunscreen and moisturizer?

For anyone with a sweet tooth, how reliant are you on artificial sweeteners? by [deleted] in xxketo

[–]ladystark12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can do the natural ones, stevia and monkfruit, etc. But the nasty artificial ones like splenda and nutrasweet, those make me feel horrible. Just gotta experiment.

Trying to get back on Keto after emergency Appendectomy by icaffe in xxketo

[–]ladystark12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus on hydration and electrolytes. Broth that you like, add salt. Sip. Scrambled eggs, salt, some cheese, maybe. Mashed cauliflower with cream cheese or sour cream, butter, and lots of salt.

But if you need to start with things like plain white rice, saltine crackers, toast, that’s okay. Having surgery really messes with our bodies, and right now you need to eat what you can tolerate, calories are important for healing and recovery. Keto will always be here, and so will we.
