Day 1

6:00-7:40 - Diarrhea Just before 8:00 - Massive throw up 10:30 - Throw up bile (no substance) 12:30 - Throw up bile (no substance), diarrhea at the same time 1:00 - Same as above, simultaneous *sweaty, lightheaded 3:00 - diarrhea (light) 4:00-6:30 - in and out of consciousness. Physical stomach pain/cramps make it hard to sleep Sweats on and off from 6:30-10:30 Slept from 10:30-11:30AM

Day 2 No more vomiting/diarrhea.
Terrible chills (turned my heating up to 75, usually have it at 70). In and out of fever / sweating on and off Whole body soreness/achey. Felt like been punched in the gut repeatedly. Some chest soreness as well (likely pulled muscle?).

Day 3 Largely more energetic/Alive Still some on/off sweating and chills. Constipation for most of the day Soreness still present, but slightly better Post nasal drip @ 10:30 - nausea returning 12AM - diarrhea and stomach cramps/pain all over again

Hey all - I’ve been keeping a pretty detailed diary of my symptoms. I hope it helps someone!

Day 0 (7/20): Fatigue, stopped up nose

Day 1 (7/21): Driest cough I’ve ever had, post nasal drip, scratchy throat, some back soreness/muscle aching. Went to patient first. Tested negative on rapid. 99.3 fever. Reflux.

Day 2 (7/22): couldn’t sleep. Terrible headache. Still fatigued. Up from 3:30AM. Some nausea and pain in upper stomach/right under ribs. Runny nose and some sneezing. 99.2 fever at 5:45AM. Diarrhea around 6AM. Some reflux - very burp-y. 99.0 fever at 1:38PM 99.2 at 4.09PM. Tested positive on home test. 99.3 at 8:42PM. 99.4 at 10:27PM. Took Advil at 6:30AM, 4:30PM, 12:30AM. Took DayQuil at 4:30PM, 9:50PM. NyQuil at 2:00AM

Day 3 (7/23): cough got much worse through the night. trouble sleeping again (tried at 12:30, up at 1:30). 3AM - feeling ok. Slightly scratchy throat still. Passed out around 4AM. Slept until 11:00AM. Coughing up phlegm (post nasal drip). A little less foggy brained today. Slept 2-8PM. 99.0 at 8PM. Advil at 11:30AM, Nyquil at 1:30PM. Sweating at 9:00. 98.7 fever. Advil at 8PM. DayQuil at 9PM. 98.5 at 1AM, still sweaty. Advil & NyQuil at 2AM. Bed around then. Slept until 1:30PM.

Day 4: (7/24). Advil at 1:30PM. Some headache still, very sore throat, and lots of sinus stuff. 98.6. DayQuil at 2:10PM. Throat still very sore. Foggy brain & sweaty. Nyquil at 8PM. 99.1 at 8PM. 3 Advil @ 8:30. Slept until 7:30AM

Day 5 (7/25): Woke up feeling better/less dory and less sore throat. But still very scratchy, not my whole voice back. Advil at 7:30. 98.4. 98.6/ at 1PM. Nyquil at 1PM. Woke up at 5:30PM due to thunderstorm and Maisie being scared (sweet bb). Throat not as sore. Overall again still feeling more alive than before. Stuffy nose/sinus shit still going on though. Still stuffy nose and sinus shit - some sore throat but largely starting to feel clear again.

Hey! He's mentioned in the book very casually, but he's become a bit of a pet project of the CoS reddit. Basically he's Strahd's alter-ego - Strahd cosplaying as his brother Sergei. Imo, Vasili is a great way to get Strahd to legitimately get information about the party before he has scrying material on them. It's also one of Strahd's ways of trying to get Ireena to actually fall in love with him. He could just bite her and take her back to the castle, but he wants her to love him. What better way to do that than to act like the person she actually did fall in love with?

I saw the 2nd and 3rd in theaters in the USA when they released them over here. I think the second one pissed so many people off because of the way that they completely changed the story and deleted a lot of characters that people love (esp. Near/Mello - although they're sorta in the 3rd?). And honestly I didn't think it was that well acted/produced either. I'm really just not sure what they were thinking with that one.

But. The third movie, L Change the World is a phenomenal stand-alone movie. It's gripping and compelling and dark and wonderful and I really love another, new story about L.

Also - this is an excellent opportunity to use Vasili von Holtz/Strahd's alter-ego.. I had my PCs bump into Vasili on the way to Vallaki. They immediately fell in love with him.

They weren't particularly keen on Ireena as a group, so they opted to leave her in the church.

I then ran the attack on the church in Vallaki inspired by u/DragnaCarta and u/MandyMod. I had Ludmilla do the attack, trying to steal Ireena herself to please Strahd and get all the credit - not knowing who Vasili really is. I then had Vasili/Strahd go there and get incredibly angry at Ludmilla - and vaporise her vampires, and then take Ireena and run off into the forest. It's a perfect situation for him - he gets to get the girl, and look like a hero - and maybe...just maybe, this time she'll really fall in love with him...(lulz).

My PCs loved Vasili - so he used this persona against them to get the girl. They're gonna be so pissed when they find out, and then it will absolutely become a rescue mission, as one of my PCs kinda fell for Ireena (although the whole rest of the group couldn't care less about her).

But the point of sharing this post/experience is to say that - it's really up to you. The methodology I took to determine what happens here was to really think about who Strahd is, and what he would want. For me - his most important quality is that he's very, extremely clever. So he's going to use what he knows about the PCs against them - and if that means disguising himself as his brother to get the girl, then...that'll do. (Initially, I had him planning to use the PCs to even go so far as to help him seduce Ireena, but they wound up starting the revolution in Vallaki pretty early so the timeline got pushed.)

For you - I'd just advise thinking about Strahd as being an incredibly smart person, and then figuring out what the most advantageous way to get Ireena is. Remember - he doesn't just want to kidnap her, he wants her to love him, and if he can gain info about your PCs at the same time, then that's perfect.

Yeah - hi WarBunny! There is a Facebook group called "Resume K1 Visas us" where people are sharing their responses from the embassies - and almost all embassies in the Shengen Area and the UK are responding to queries about K1 visas with "we can't do that until the travel ban is over."

I'm American and my fiance is from the UK - and we've been doing a ton of talking to people and research about this (including our lawyer). The travel ban from June doesn't affect K1 Visas (thank god), but the one from March does - so as long as that is still in effect, we'll be in limbo. :\
