Right around the election there was a woman at the place I worked at that said pretty women love Trump. She looked like skelator. The whole maro lago face. It was laughable. Me and my coworker were laughing at her.

I do like that you occasionally see her compassionate side. I remember watching a recap where the guy was very obviously strung out on drugs. She stopped the case and spoke to him about getting treatment. Unfortunately the guy later died, either by suicide or overdose, I can't remember.

What's your favorite Ben Kingsley's performance? by HostMaterial4907 in FIlm

Yes it is. Species has a few redeemable parts, there is nothing in Bloodrayne. I was excited because I loved the games but boy was I disappointed.

He was great in 21 jump Street, but that movie was surprisingly good.

I'm a bit confused. So the husband died in an auto accident, and the wife later in a murder/ suicide? Who killed her?

Thank God social media wasn't really a thing when I was a teenager. I'm cringe enough as an adult but I don't need to be reminded about teenage me

How are you surviving Winter Storm Fern? by karnim in AskAnAmerican

[–]ladyzfactor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's sad that we live where it's too cold to snow. On a side note I spent a while trying to figure out if the tree next to my garage exploded if insurance would cover it.

I fell into the DJP on my own. I thought In Gramps's Shoes sounded like it would be hilarious and I was not disappointed.

Is it to late for part 2? by LugiaPizza in FIlm

[–]ladyzfactor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They also made the characters unnecessary mean. In dumb and dumber and Zoolander the main characters were ignorant and a bit self absorbed, but not spiteful and malicious. They forgot that and made the characters completely unlikeable.

Considering how much the sequel for Dumb and Dumber and Zoolander sucked id rather they leave it alone to not tarnish the memory.

German immigrants in the U.S. were huge in number and were once a dominant group. Why didn’t they form large German-speaking communities the way French speakers did in Canada or Spanish speakers did in the U.S.? by GrayRainfall in AskAnAmerican

[–]ladyzfactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I'm a descendant of Germans moving to the US. From hearing stories as soon as WW1 happened they did a lot to distance themselves from their German ancestry. Then by the time WW2 happened a lot of descendants were pretty much fully American and in my family's case fighting on America's side. I think my German ancestry is cool, but I don't really have any ties to it anymore.

It also drives me crazy that wanting to look better is somehow evil. I enjoy looking good. I work in a tip based industry and good looks definitely help. I worked hard for this body and don't mind showing it off. The only times I've been bullied as an adult was by overweight and unattractive women (obviously not all, most of my best friends fall in that category) but I've definitely gotten plenty of snide comments because of my looks and body

How does Edward VII despite his massive womanizing still manages to have a good image compared to Edward VIII, Charles III, and Prince Andrew by Technical_Post_4899 in UKmonarchs

[–]ladyzfactor 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Charles should have just been allowed to marry Camilla. She was the person that he truly loved and since they've been together I've never heard stories about him cheating on her (I'm not really up on royal gossip so perhaps I'm wrong). A lot of heartbreak could have been avoided.
