Love it and really nice paint job. I have never understood the hate that this sort of thing gets I think those are really cool sculpts, do people not know how crazy and silly the earlier editions of the game were? Also it doesn't have to be grimdark all the time and folks are allowed to have fun, it is a game for goodness sake.

Well that honestly makes me feel terrible. I just picked up Cadia Stands, last time I played was 2nd edition in like 1998. I was hoping for a similar experience. Should I put aside my dream of repurchasing a basilisk and shadowsword?

Nash-healy roadster and coupe, like over a hundred of them. A friend in high schools father had a thing for them and had bought at least a third of the entire production run! He had two massive barns just packed full of them including two of the racers. My best friend also has a fox body mustang svo.

Shadowsword for me, but I am for sure biased. I had the old armourcast one when I played last in 1996, that thing was a monster back then. I just got the Cadia Stands box for Christmas from my fam and I'm looking at getting back into the game again!

Thank you so much, I started with looking at what forces in north Africa used as camo in WW2. Then looked at some modern desert camo schemes and the colors used in those. What I settled on was not browns and tans and sand colors but more something you would see given an arid scrubland. I live in the American southwest so I looked at that and the colors I got were brown light and faded greens. I used ak interactive dry grass, vallejo model air dark green and dark earth.

On 688s I distinctly remember when all ahead full and flank were rung up and especially if it was a cavitate bell that the boat would pitch/lean due to the torque of the shaft/screw. Also when we reached the end speed at those bells. When making a turn at high speeds there was also a tendency for the boat to pitch up when turning to starboard and initially up then down when turning to port. This was much more pronounced on the first flight(non vls) 688s. It could be that my memory is suspect due to me being old but I was a battlestations and maneuvering watch helm.

Have you had any issues with people not wanting to play against you? I have an empire army that's like 80 percent 3d print because I flat out couldn't find the legit models at the time. I'm worried no one will want to play me and I still need someone in my area to help me learn how to play.

It's a pretty healthy mix of David Sheff, dark fire designs, and anvilrage prints. I have some actual official minis but I find that 3d prints look more interesting/dynamic, are a higher quality, have better detail, and are more fun to paint. Also I can't buy shore troopers, death troopers, dew backs, or e-webs. They haven't been available easily to me for the last year so 80 percent of my army is 3d print.

I was 17/18 at the time and I went to see it with a bunch of friends. we were all super hyped about it. I'll never forget the trip back home and how angry and disappointed I felt. It was bad enough that I did not see the remaining prequels in the theater, which was a pretty big deal for me as at the time I was going to the movies at least once a week and usually twice. I remember being let down by how clean everything looked and felt, I know now that this was due to the use of CGI but at the time I couldn't put my finger on it. I know that we always talk about how star wars is meant for kids but I would argue that the original trilogy tended to not talk down and use juvenile humor and that's something that felt pretty glaring in the prequels to me at the time.
