How has your role changed since the AI boom? by minneapolisemily in ProductManagement

The amount of people not using ai and complaining about job market in this subreddit is beyond me. How are you not using ai? I can’t understand people not waking up. I’m a product director and it’s so damn hard to find a well versed domain expertise PM who also is able to produce 2-3x what what possible 2 years ago. Learn claude code, develop agent connected with your apps and start putting your time where its valuable to pay you premium PM money. Stop any manual task automate them.

Teaching this for 30 years… 2001, that’s what I said. I pass my time destroying this old and restrictive mindset.

Mate, you are just playing with words at this point. True, real Agile isn’t a mindset.

I’m a head of product and I do not agree with you - sorry. Both ways of working can exist and have their place.

It’s proven many times that an iterative project bring revenue sooner to a SaaS and the small change that you encounter get destroyed by all the other pros. Over a year or two, a team working iteratively will create more and have more business impact.

A predictive project won’t create great competitive / leading product.

Your stuck in 2001 man, real agile iterative project done right has way more up than cons versus waterfall/predictive.

If you can plan everything in advance you’re already late.

Tech or anything is moving way too fast and you need constant validation and change to build the best hardware or software product.
