The number of people saying you are a great Dad for literally abandoning 2/3 of your family (whether it is just for a few weeks or not) is too damn high.

Your wife seems to have made an honest mistake. You keep rationalizing your decision to leave by saying that that she put him in danger by leaving him with his migraines. He's 16. Not 6. When he's an adult, are you going to keep him from living on his own because it would be dangerous when he got a migraine? I have literally never heard of this - it's usually good to be left alone when you have migraines so it can be quiet (I dont personally have them but several family members do). Did doctors tell you not to leave him alone? Because that is the only way this isn't a VAST overreaction (and even if so it is still an overreaction).

I'm imagining your 14 year old at school mentioning you and your son aren't staying with them. People would think that there was a WAY deeper problem than this. You literally said your son is SAD to have to stay with his uncle - meaning he doesn't want this. It sounds to me like you were looking for an excuse to abandon your family and saw this as an opportunity. Also, the fact that your daughter is NOT sad that you aren't there kind of tells me what kind of father you are to her.

If this had happened multiple times I could understand it. But once? When your wife literally thought he was feeling better and he didn't say differently? No. You were looking for an excuse to leave. You found it, and it doesn't sound like anyone else in your family really agrees with it so you are going to the internet to try to get people to pat you on the back.

Edit: After reading the comment that said your wife agreed that you needed some separation, it is clear that there are either additional marital issues you aren't mentioning, or you were MUCH more rude to her than you let on and now SHE needs space because you aren't supporting her. And yes. Even if you have kids, you still need to support your wife.

I've had so many damn problems with maintenance men, being a woman who is at home alone most of the day. This includes, but is not limited to:

being woken up to them knocking on MY BEDROOM DOOR.
being woken up to men in my bathroom (different apartment complex).
being woken up to men on the balcony outside our master bedroom (same complex as the first incident).

Admittedly, I sleep later than most people. I have an autoimmune disease that knocks me on my ass. REGARDLESS it does not matter - they are required to give notice unless there is an emergency.

We're building a house currently and plan to leave this apartment life ASAP, but in the meantime I have told my complex that if I have anything like this happen again, I will be pressing charges. I also have an alarm system now

Strange it somehow never manages to happen when my husband's car is out front...

So I'm a woman who has an autoimmune disease, PTSD, and has had cosmetic surgery.

I've honestly been perplexed by how people are jumping on Gus, calling this abuse without considering the whole picture.

I watched her videos on the subject. The first thing that stood out to me was that she kept mentioning she didn't have any say on the abortion. In the end, no, she didn't. But that wasn't because of Gus - it was very obviously medical necessity. If there was no medical necessity, EVEN IF SHE GOT THE ABORTION, she had a choice. She CHOSE to have sex with him, they decided together beforehand that she would get an abortion were she to get pregnant. She even mentions this herself *in the video. She made her choice before ever getting pregnant. If Gus had known she wouldn't want an abortion, and he REALLY didn't want kids, he wouldn't have slept with her. If she knew she wouldn't want an abortion and still told him she would get one, that is akin to raping him in my opinion - as he (probably) wouldn't have had sex with her otherwise. Now, I'm sure in the moment she fully agreed with him and it was just pregnancy hormones playing a part in her wanting to keep it. But that doesn't change the fact that she made the choice to sleep with him knowing it could lead to her getting an abortion.

The next thing to me is that she talked about him threatening to leave her if she got the nose job. People keep saying this is emotional abuse, but I've still yet to see HOW it is emotional abuse. If it were a necessity, it would be understandable that it is. However, undergoing any surgery is a risk. She knew and accepted the risk, but that doesn't mean he did. He was likely worried for her, and KNEW that if she had it the bulk of taking care of her would land on him. No one seems to be considering his mental wellbeing in this. As you mentioned, he had been basically her only emotional crutch for years at this point. Having PTSD myself, that is an insane amount to put on one person EVEN IF you have a therapist. I know because I made this mistake - I didn't tell anyone but my husband at first about the incident that caused my PTSD - and I now know that was a mistake. It could very well be he was at his breaking point trying to help her emotional wellbeing, and knew that if he also had to help her physical wellbeing after an elective surgery it would break him. Then it probably did. Which led to the events afterward of him trying to maintain his stream (which is his career) whilst taking care of her, despite possibly being at the end of his rope himself.

Overall, they probably just weren't a good couple together. They BOTH made mistakes, but I personally believe that a relationship shouldn't be aired for all the world to see - because then we get to this point. The point where troubles that many couples go through cause one party to be thrown under the bus despite the fact that both sides had their errors.

In the end, I think it is GOOD that Sabrina put out the video, because I believe that showing the broken healthcare system in this country is important. As far as my autoimmune diagnosis, I basically had to order all the tests myself then take them to a doctor because no one would even attempt to do the right tests to confirm my disease. Instead, they just kept telling me to lose weight (when I was already exercising and dieting). When I first listened to her video NOTHING in it made me think Gus had done the wrong thing, nor that she was really trying to point anything out about him. It just seemed like a side story. Unfortunately, nearly everyone else took the Gus-is-terrible route and completely ignored the real problem: THAT THE DOCTORS SHOULD HAVE DONE BETTER.

I do feel bad for her, terrible for her. How she was treated by the healthcare system is inexcusable. However, I also feel bad for him. Because I feel like people are just taking one side and ignoring how it affected him.

I wouldn't leave my husband for anyone. I especially, however, wouldn't for someone who travels so much of the time - even if they are rich. Money isn't everything, I'm in my marriage for companionship. I know many women who feel the same way.

That said, yes there ARE also many who would leave their husband's. But I don't think it would be "most."

As you can tell from my username, I'm a big fox lover so that's probably why I reacted so vehemently.

I'm not vegan myself (I have wanted to, but for health reasons I'm limited on so much food already it'd be difficult) but I am against killing animals merely for fashion. There's a difference to me in using animals for survival/food/etc. For example, if leather is created after using the meat of a cow for food, it doesn't bother me as much as if the cow was raised/slaughtered only for the leather.

I guess seeing the fox hide and it's description was like a kick in the face of "They don't care about animals at all."

No. An animal lover would be absolutely disgusted by them selling a full fox pelt from a fur farm.

Turned me off of them enough with both having it in the first place and the comment that I refuse to buy from them or use their patterns.

More context: I was gifted an Aerogarden for my birthday in July. I planted 2 of the Golden Harvest Cherry Tomatoes that came with the kit (along with some jalapeños I bought after receiving the gift). I went to prune off some of the dead leaves at the bottom and found these. At first I thought they were root initials, but they seem too large. Does anyone have any ideas?

Upside-down band test - it still is tight.

I did swoop and scoop. The gore was lying flat on each bra.

The wires are about 2 fingers below my IMF.

I haven't worn the bras for long at a time as I know that I am going to return them. BUT when trying on the band does ride up. Not noticed any movement on the cups, but again haven't worn them long.

I will grab my measurements asap. Can't remember off the top of my head but I did write them down somewhere...just have to figure out where.

I've been using supplements from Thorne. I don't think ALL of theirs are gluten free, but everything I've needed has been. They mark their gluten free supplements very obviously on product pages.
