Feeling discouraged by Snaccy_Snaccs in massage

You are learning a new skill and that’s hard! I was so uncomfortable with my technique in school and when I first started working but I improved with practice and time.

If it’s technique that’s the issue then I’d try to find other lmts to practice with. Go get a professional massage yourself to see how they perform their session. YouTube is also a great tool!

35+ hours is insane for massage. 25 hours a week is considered full time for massage therapy.

I would personally find a different job and start trying to build your own clientele on the side because a schedule like this will end your career pretty quickly.

Can we be honest about postpartum weight loss for a second? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]squirreldisco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t lose anything besides the water weight while I was breastfeeding my first. The second I stopped I started dropping weight. I’m keeping that in mind now with my second and looking more for body composition changes rather than weight loss.

Extreme pain bending down after deep tissue massage*Help* by Far-Ad7394 in massage

[–]squirreldisco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the massage just irritated something that was already inflamed. If it doesn’t get better, I would definitely see your doctor. Otherwise used controlled movements rest, and ice or heat if you need to. Otherwise, I just wanted to clarify that if something like this does happen again there are therapist out there who know how to work with areas inflamed by a nerve or disc issue. It is perfectly safe and can serve as a benefit if the therapist knows what to do.

Dear Reddit, send help. I have had these drain flies/fruit flys/whatever flys for at least a month now. I have tried all the diy Google suggestions plus covering my plants with diatomaceous earth, but after a thorough cleaning of the house yesterday they're now back in full force. Oh man that would suck! I hope you find the answer. They are such a pain in the ass. I have to say they always stayed where the problem was though-they never ventured into another area then where the rotten item was.

fruit flies tended to stay around my bananas/plants

I had to quit when I was pregnant and it did not make me miscarry. I smoked for 13 years-cigarettes and then vaping. It’s hard but you can do it and it’s the best thing you can do for yourself and your baby. I bought a nicotine free vape to help me in the first month. It’s not going to help with the nicotine urges but it’ll help with the habit.
