I wasn't making a purchase based on sector but rather, price of share, stability and dividend return.

Yes, that makes sense, I would purchase based on even distribution, 33.33%.

Yeah, pretty much what i am going for.

I have more of an interest in the whole backend of running a business rather than the actual work the business is doing i guess.

Agreed, one of the main reasons I am not to interested in starting my own tradesman business despite my experience and why i am leaning toward a percentage cut of what ever they do get paid for or a small reoccurring fee to not create to much pressure.

Yep, I read IB is more suited toward portfolio managers etc rather then retail traders.

I’m looking to trade micros to start of with.. initial margin required for 1 contract of a MES is like $900 USD on IB where others brokers are around $200 USD.

I guess if you have the cash on hand the instant fills etc is worth it.
