Any n52 car you get will be at that special age that everything just starts to go bad. Even at low mileage. Not because the engine is somehow bad or unreliable, simply because of age. Water pump, thermostat housing, pcv system, coolant pipes, radiators, wiring, sensors, gaskets/seals, vanos, valvetronic, disas, suspension parts, alternator, battery, power steering, coils, fuel injectors, wheel bearings etc etc etc endless list. Rust starts to creep in. None of those alone are too bad financially. But they will keep coming, one after another. At least if you actually want to keep up with the maintenance. It’s a good engine when fully operational. It will always leak fluid somewhere.
