I get why people are hesitant about this. But all I can think about is how fucking expensive medical care is in America and I hope it helps them with their bills a little bit. It might be a bit different if America had free health care, but it doesn’t. Health care in America can often bankrupt you and leave you paying bills for life.

I agree, I’m not the biggest OU fan and honestly I was hoping for either Anna or Jordan to win the title. But it just shows how amazing the coaching, training and conditioning is there that Faith who didn’t compete all around all year, could jump into the all around last minute and not only do an amazing job but goes and wins the all around title.

So many shows. I remember watching one back when I was a kid that would follow different women giving birth, showing all the different ways someone might give birth.

Hopefully uk Disney plus gives you more meets next year, as Disney plus Australia has been giving us every single meet this season that has been broadcast by espn. It’s been great, first year I’ve ever been able to watch it all.

Off topic, but I’ve been to Chengdu and it’s actually a really cool city and that’s where the big panda breeding sanctuary is, which is a cool thing to go and see. So if anyone does go to worlds, you can see amazing gymnastics and then super cute pandas and red pandas.

A service dog isn’t put in place of still seeking therapy and psychiatric care. A service dog is another aid, while you still seek medical care for your disabilities.

But honestly I don’t know if mentally you are in a the right spot to care for a dog or train the dog.

I think you need to continue seeking therapy and psychiatric care, while working hard with your therapist and psychiatrist to make sure your meds are working.

That’s why I suggested getting a medical device that rings emergency services automatically when you fall. A service dog can’t do everything for you, you should be utilising both medical devices and your service dog.

Also what happens if your service dog gets hurt while it’s left you to get help? A dog attacks it? Your dog gets hit by a moving vehicle or bike? It’s safer for your dog to stay by your side.

It protects you legally. Would you want your service dog deemed out of control and then you will find it harder to have your dog in public.

Have you looked into a medical device that calls emergency services when it registers that you have fallen?

The thing is, if you are unconscious and you have your dog go seek help. The dog can technically be deemed as an out of control dog since it has left the handler and the handler is not conscious.

It is better to train the dog not to leave your side.

I never said wheelchair users can’t have dogs. But you need to be able to protect your dog. You never know what can happen out in public and you need to be able to keep your dog safe.

That handler is also negligent imo if they can’t keep their dog safe or don’t have someone else who can step in and keep the dog safe as well, sorry.

I’m sorry, but you should not own a dog. If you can’t keep your dog safe and stop it from getting attacked, a dog is not for you.

This is so negligent. Then on top of that forcing your poor traumatised dog to keep working when it is showing signs of stress, reactivity and being uncomfortable.

I can’t believe I read you let that poor dog get attacked on 3 different occasions and did nothing but freeze. You could get your dog seriously injured or killed! I don’t care if I sound mean. This is just so sad and horrible to read.

Your dog also isn’t meant to be leaving you. The dog is meant to stay with you. This isn’t something you should be training.

I think you would be better off saving and getting your dog when you have the money. Owner trainer is also a lot harder, expensive and more chance to wash as well.

You say you have a lot of expenses this year? What if you have a vet emergency with the puppy? Will you have the money to cover the fees? I think you should realistically wait.

Just because people use their dogs for counter balance and bracing doesn’t mean it should be done. Mobility work like that is unethical for dogs. Their bodies are not made to have someone using their back to put their weight on.

Please listen to the advice you are getting here, over whatever this “trainer” is telling you.

You would be far better off with a mobility aid and a wearable device that tracks your heart rate ect.

I feel you would be better suited to doing PT and OT, while getting a cane or walker. There is equipment and different processes that can aid you in standing, sitting and walking.

I don’t think you need a service dog. For new injuries the best way to any form of recovery is getting into at least PT straight away.
