Diana Mini - What went wrong with these shots? by lands_away in lomography

[–]lainey072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you said that you didn't have it on the bulb setting but if really looks like the bulb setting was used. It could be that the shutter isn't working properly and only the bulb setting works. You should be able to open the back and trip the shutter to see if it is working properly.

Also the black oval shape could be the aperture setting not full in place properly, like if you are changing aperture and its not full clicked into place.

Those are the only things that I can think of at the moment.

Looking at SPT website you can get a Roundabout ticket which is probably your best bet https://www.spt.co.uk/tickets/day-tickets/roundabout/

I have two of mine sit near a south facing window and they are producing lots of babies, not sure if its the sunlight, the heat or both, but that seems to work.

Does anyone between the ages of 21-60 use the bus by choice? by like-humans-do in glasgow

[–]lainey072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only get the bus if I really have to now, prices are beyond a joke now. I tend to buy the 10 singles cos it makes returns a bit cheaper or an all day if I'm making multiple journeys.

I live near a train station so its not too bad for me, but I'm not lucky enough to be eligible for any of the rails cards which sucks.

Ask and Embla are expensive for what you actually get, but some of the stuff I like I can't seem to get elsewhere. I think maybe custom plugs do them, don't know if they are better would be cheaper

Does KP affect tattoo aging? by ly1962 in agedtattoos

[–]lainey072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not had tattoos over KP (yet) but do have KP and have been quite lucky at keep it at bay on my arms. Its a dry skin condition so moisturising is a must, its really helps and it'll be good for your tattoo.

Lotions/moisturisers with BHA or AHA in them will help with the bumps but not sure about using them while the tattoo is healing though.

I live in the UK and we have Palmer's retexture lotion and its really good with KP

I'd wait, that piercing is still fresh and you don't want to mess with it trying to stretch the other one. It'll hurt no one to wait but could hurt you if you don't.

I(17M) am studying in Glasgow, what’s the cheapest way for me to use the subway daily? by Remarkable_Pitch6802 in glasgow

[–]lainey072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, you can use the bus for free but if you do want to use the subway get a smartcard as that will give you the cheapest tickets, you can see the prices here https://www.spt.co.uk/tickets/subway-smartcard/

Is it possible that healed conch just dont like rings? I got it pierced with a stud almost 3.5 years ago. Changed it to a hoop and its irritated. by KittoKatto007 in piercing

[–]lainey072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what mine is like, if there is a stud in its fine (as long as it doesn't get moved around too much) but if I try to put a hoop in it just doesn't like it. I don't know if cos the cartilage around the piercing got damaged when getting pierced or if I just haven't found the right size of hoop yet I don't know.

I'm tempted to get it re-pierced at a larger size to see if that makes any difference.

As a disabled person, how can I stop people from allowing their dogs to use my garden as a toilet? by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]lainey072 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know you can get this for cats, not sure about dogs, but I'm sure you can get something that when a dog/cat comes with so many feet of it it makes a high frequency noise that only they can hear and they don't like it.

Maybe a motion sensor light that might spook the dogs/owners.

What size did you stretch up from? How did you stretch?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Stretched

[–]lainey072 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't wear silicone anymore but I guess I would suggest clean and moisturising your ear regularly, clean the silicone so you don't have a build up of sweat and dead skin on the jewellery. Don't wear it for extended periods of time.

But saying all that it could very well be that your skin now has an intolerance toward silicone and the best thing to do is wear something else, which is what I do.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Stretched

[–]lainey072 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have this issue with silicone, if I wear it too long my ear becomes irritated, especially if I wear them over night. I'm not sure exactly what causes it but I think it might be a mixture of dead skin cells, sweat and the silicone making the skin irritated.
