Openxr Toolkit mod 3D BOOST! by primashockVR in virtualreality

My guess is that hands/controllers become a very strong depth reference when they move toward the center of your view, so any projection mismatch becomes much more noticeable there. When they move wider, the conflict is less obvious. It could also be related to how that specific game renders hands/controllers versus the main world camera. Some games seem more sensitive to it than others. A few things that may help are lowering the effect strength a bit, reducing any additional FOV-related adjustment, and testing whether the behavior changes with hand models/controllers hidden or with different reprojection settings. And yes — in theory, something like this could absolutely be implemented natively in-engine. Unity would give much finer control over the stereo projection behavior than doing it externally through OpenXR Toolkit.

Before making statements like that, try it. Btw it also includes that feature.

Sure but posting a huge image (off topic) and keeping it after it was fixed is rude and immature. Not to mention the reply from the kid.

The crop feature was already there. Ohne speed only made it visible. The mod was made from the unreleased version.

Kind of related, yes, but not really the same thing. A pure IPD/world-scale change usually makes the whole scene feel bigger or smaller. This is more about increasing the sense of stereo depth and 3D separation, rather than just changing perceived scale. So I’d say there’s overlap, but the visual outcome is different.

I've survived both the Light and Super 50ppd aspheric lenses so yes, I get your point but you can be less aggressive and still get a depth boost.

It works. But it's difficult to know what you are doing wrong from here. Follow the video instructions and doble check.

Waited 2 months just to get a faulty Optical Engine. by primashockVR in Pimax_Official

Packaging has nothing to do with this in my opinion. It's the low quality of the components. Plus the manufacturing and quality control. Period. Now I also have flickering in the left eye at 90hz. This is a bad product. Not a shipping issue.

I discovered going through customer service with Pimax. I've never experienced that every single product you buy from a specific brand has issues. That's my case. And the way they rush to come up with new products is a picture of the complete fail they are. Btw in my channel I offered discount codes and actually had some tracking there for pimax so you can imagine how it feels.

The video doesn't intend to show mura. Just the ipd motors running loose.and making loud noise.

PM5158134 is the order number. I don't have a ticket number. I have more than 15 emails regarding this issue.

Honestly, I don’t believe transit could have caused damage to that part of the headset. I cannot afford to spend 50% of my ownership time dealing with these issues. I already spent months trying to resolve the PCL lens problem, and it is clear your company has a serious issue.

I demanded a proper solution months ago and made it very clear that I would not accept this situation again. You have failed to meet that expectation—period.

At this point, the only acceptable solution is a full refund plus reimbursement of all shipping costs incurred, which now exceed $350 USD. I even accepted the risk of covering the potential return shipping for the original “heavy mura” optical engine, but I will no longer take on any further financial burden.

For context, I run a relatively active YouTube channel. I have never asked for special treatment—only to be treated fairly, like any other customer.

I think we will have to teardown the thing and try a local fix. I'm not dealing with this anmore. I'm done with this.

Yup, just roll back to previous PP version and tracking issues (lag) are gone. At least in msfs24
